Yes, I'm familiar with Revelation, it is in fact my favourite book of the Bible. However that isn't the issue here. We know the signs (mentioned in this thread) and what is coming (Rev 13- global government/global economy which controls the planet) which have been mentioned. We see all the signs coming together..all at the same time.

We are also having dreams, visions and can sense the urgency through the Holy Spirit. Some dismiss it. Some are taking a wait and see attitude.
Some aren't getting it at all.

Russia wasn't powerful enough to do anything for decades and now they are sabre rattling and have built up their military strength and are siding with Iran (Ezek 38).

The population of the world can now produce a 200 million man army (Rev 9).

There is a call for a global government and financial system that will supposedly bring peace and security for all mankind. (Rev 13, 1 Thess 5)

Obama has basically been worshipped with Messianic overtones...setting the stage for the possiblity of him or someone like him actually being the man of sin because he's arrogant and proud and doesn't think much of Israel, rejects the god of his fathers and honors a god of forces (hindu). (Rev 13/Daniel 11)

The Gospel has been taken to all nations as a witness. (Matt 24)

Increase in cults and divisions/sects in Christianity.

Geopolitical alignment of nations as described in Psalm 83 and Ezek 38.

Intensity of earthquakes and weather phenomenon increasing. More massive natural disasters (frequency).

Well, all that I listed which are all happening at the same time are the signs. The earthquake will be sudden and massive and by then, it'll be too late for a lot of people. The beginning of the sequence of events which takes about 3 1/2 years leading up to the coming of Christ on the clouds to destroy will be in progress.

Just be ready.

Every Christian I know or talk to and Pastors/teachers I've heard share this identical urgency due to the signs.

If what we're seeing aren't the signs given in the Bible, then
I truly doubt we have ears to hear God at all and it was truly
pointless for God to put so much prophecy into the Bible for
us to yawn at.

I think one major prophetic sign was Israel becoming her own nation.
That seems to have kicked everything off that follows.
Christians in the field of eschatology have been predicting a one world govt. for decades now and economic collapse has been the
reason they've given for global uniting to have to occur...
(at the same time that we'd be seeing global religious unification.
Ecumenism - and sure enough, that's where we are.

And here the world is with many countries going into a recession at the same time. Nevermind the rapid succession of them as they intensify.
It's all the combined signs that we cannot ignore anymore and the
fast rate at which they're happening (like the birth pangs of a woman
in labor till she gives birth)....
just amazing.
We live in amazing times to witness these events, yet to me it's
sad and scary to watch the downfall before judgment.

you're right we can't - it has to happen.

The point of prophecy is basically 2 fold:

1) proves God and His word are true by knowing the future events
which noone can know (bible writers wouldn't know this if it weren't
supernaturally given to them to be so accurate).

2) warning that when you see these signs, to be spiritually ready at
anytime He may return.

But Paul teaches us at the same time, to continue on in this
world being busy and active in our service. We don't go sit
on a mountain waiting for God to return - there are things to
do and this is supposed to give us that urgency in which to
get them done. [Time being short].
