Did anyone else notice that they seemed to look better after the 3 years - like Sawyer and Juliette looked almost younger...
I'm guessing that is because of diet. They were living on whatever they could find. Dharma has good food.

I agree,
I don't think Locke and Ben etc. are in the past, just the ones that disappeared in the flash prior to the plane going down. Kate Hurley Jack, (and whoever else). I'm not so sure about Sun, Did anyone mention if she disappeared?
The baby: if this is someone we know, he should be about 27 or so at the time of the 816 crash.
So who is a white male in that age range that we don't know the birth origin of yet? Boone?
I think older than that. They said it was 1977 when the baby was born, and it's 2007 when 816 crashes. So I'm thinking maybe Desmond, or maybe they'll throw us all for a loop and it'll be Daniel.

The plane went down in 2004. Remember Ben told Jack about the Red Sox winning the World Series and about Bush's re-election (both occurred in November 2004).
My husband and I were chatting about Lost this morning, and I think he's stumbled on to something that is potentially BIG.
And it all revolves around Richard Alpert and his "eyeliner".
First, he mentioned how Sawyer called him that the other night, then he mentioned about the statue, and we know it's from Egypt. I said Richard's been time travelling a looong time.
My husband's theory is that Richard actually influenced the "look" of the eyelined Egyptians, and that he's the reason they did that to their eyes. We think he was purposely picked for the role because he naturally looks like that.
And then....I said...think of his name "Richard Alpert"...his initials are R-A. Ra is the head Egyptian God.
So, what do you guys think?

A couple of seasons ago hubby wanted to cut the episodes and put them in a straight time-line - with the flashbacks and everything. I asked him last night how he thought that'd work now, he just looked at me and laughed.
I totally thought the baby was going to be Charlotte. I was just waiting for them to reveal that, and then Sawyer had to ruin my theory by saying it was a boy.I'm wondering "who" the baby is....or if the point was showing that Juliette could be part of a healthy birth on the island, and nothing more. Although with Lost...a lot of time was spent on Amy and her situation and having the baby....so, he's probably someone we know. And notice...even back then, the women were leaving the island to give birth...hmmmm.
Juliet looked way better. Maybe just because she was cleaned up a little, though. Hah.Did anyone else notice that they seemed to look better after the 3 years - like Sawyer and Juliette looked almost younger...
I don't, either. I was disappointed in that, to be honest...even though I knew it was coming. I wish they had at least developed that romance a little more before the two got together. However, I don't like Juliet at all, so that may be why it annoys me so much. She's a know-it-all and always so calmly demanding. Bothers me.I personally don't see any "spark" in the romance between Sawyer and Juliet...they seem awkward together.
When Daniel spoke to Desmond in the hatch and told him to go find his mother, Desmond suddenly had a memory/dream about that.
So if Sawyer and the others were already on the island in the same time line of what happened happened, I wonder if he would have remembered it at some point during his stay on the island right after the plane crashed.
That was the 2nd best tease sence the season 2 finale and made tonights partial reveal all the more fulfilling.Way to tease us with that statue...
Okay the cross. From Lostpedia:
They look up and see the back of a gigantic statue (notice what the statue is holding - it is the cross-looking symbol with a loop on top. The statue is the Egyptian god of renewal, Horus, whose symbol appears later in the episode with Paul's necklace).
Click this link to view the image, and it can be clicked again from there to make it big enough to see the cross in the statue's hand.
And where the hell are Rose and Bernard?
