CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I remember Patsy Clairmont (Christian speaker/author/comedienne) wrote about God fashioning us out of clay--clay pots---except hers was broken and cracked and seemed useless for God's use.
Then the Spirit of the Lord gave her the notion that, yes, we are "cracked pots", but how beautiful the Light that resides within looks when it shines through those woeful cracks!
I'm proud to be a "cracked pot" for Jesus!

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"
made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not in despair;
9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
Yes, the light shines in our hearts, and out to the world,
through this wonderful treasure, Jesus. The trouble we encounter, when we are struck, down is the death of Jesus. Somehow, by his miraculous grace, they are transformed into the life of Jesus!! How mysterious are His ways!
The life of Jesus flows through us, even through our weaknesses.

Hiya guys. As of late I have been battling memories of the past, and yes past is past, but there have been somethings I have just said "Oh Well" and haven't really confronted the emotions. I need a word not just for this but for other things as well. I am typically not one to ask for a word of encouragement but Eurasia your dream actually makes sense to me right now that's about where I'm at spiritually and emotionally. I'm stuck really badly and praying seems to intensify the situation. I'm praying for a "friend" to get saved in scottland, so please pray for him as well. He believes religion is a tool to control people, and I want him to actually know the Lord like I do. Bah *head to wall* pray for me please guys I really need it.

Heb 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
We have a race to run, and the only way for us to do well in the race of life is to fix our eyes on being winners with Jesus, He is the author and finisher of our faith. Can you see Him standing at the finishing line? He is cheering you and I on saying come on my Son, come on my daughter, you are going to win the race, can't you see, my Holy Spirit energizes you, you are clothed in righteousness, your old rags are disbanded, so persevere, your shoes are light and made for running, they are gospel shoes that you might carry the good news far and near, I paved the way for you on the cross, my blood has made the way for you to win this race, so run, and keep your eyes on me.
