CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What am I just going to be Brittish and add extra hops to the baklava to make it last longer? India Pale Baklava! Hmm, now thats a thought, baklava spiked with hops! YUM!
For those of you who don't know what India Pale Ale is, it is ale that has extra hops added to it to make it last the long journey by ship from England to India. And then the American mircobrewers got ahold of it and totally redefined what an IPA is!

Bad/Good it's all relative, I just couldn't do it anymore. Speaking of lent, I am hoping to be internet free with the exception of e-mail and blackboard/turnitin (school program)

Yea, I've got spring cleaning going on so I can devote more of Lent to embroidery, reading etc. I'm planning on doing a 'once a day' TAW visit for Lent and actually turn off the computer now and then LOL (same goes for TV).

I have alot of painting and work to do on my house and so Mrs. G wants me to follow suit. That would be especially beneficial if things get really slow at work and I have a few extra days off here and there. I really want to get into the other house by Pascha.

Also, here's a little bit of a new piece I'm also working on (which is not an icon):
All that odd looking section (it's the moon) is stitched in a lovely semi-clear sparkly thread that catches the light and throws off all different colours, it's just hard to capture in a photo. Click the thumbnail for a better picture, and go to the album its in to find out what the picture will look like at the end

You are doing excellent work! I meant to work on the icon of the Marriage at Cana yesterday but instead I spent the whole day doing trim carpentry on the kitchen we are building.

And isn't it great when we get distracted? I go into Andrew's workshop and stitch a lot these days, which is good because there's less to distract me there, and I keep him company which he likes. Don't ask me why!
