Taking Questions on the Creation

Why would they congregate toward a certain area? Well, if we realize there was hyper evolution, the animals in what is now Australia simply adapted and evolved to the area.

Talk about making it up as you go along.

First we have, 'evolution is a crock and never happened',
then we have, 'hyper evolution took place',
what's going on???

I realize it's YOUR religion and you can change things as much as you want to suit yourself,
but if you're trying to make people believe it don't you think you should at least stick to ONE story?
after all, what are the people with brains supposed to think?

No --- remember there was only one supercontinent at the time. There was no Australia until Genesis 10 or 11.
Ignoring the fact that you're horribly wrong to think the continents ever moved that quickly, you still are saying that similar animals, such as australian marsupials, all stepped off the ark and trekked to wherever we find them now. This is preposterous; in reality, evolutionary pressures in certain environments cause certain traits to be advantageous, which is why we see more marsupials in Australia than anywhere else.

Um ... can God show up right now and move Guam to the other side of the world in, say, five seconds?

Yup.
This is preposterous ...
Not hardly --- what's the alternative? They swam there?

You cannot properly interpret the Scriptures from an evolutionary standpoint.

why are there no marsupial fossils in the middle east? if all kind came off the ark in the same place why are there some that only have traces in certain areas?
Beats me --- that's your conundrum --- not mine. Perhaps they didn't exist as yet.

they must have since all kinds were represented. do you not care whether your ideas make sense? or can logic take a hike too? can human thought take a hike?

I want to know how tiny blind worm snakes from Australia got to the ark in the first place. And the unique varieties of nematodes, bacteria, insects, worms, all from the far corners of the earth. Here they come, girl and boy, wriggling along over the burning sands, gotta get to the boat on time. And two little hop toads, come on, we still have 8,000 miles to go..*..

Oh... as for the variety of marsupials in Australia you didnt get that right.

Australia and South America were geographically isolated. So marsupials did the adaptive radiation into the wide variety of forms we see now. SA had a wide variety of marsupial mammals until the placental mammals started arriving.

Same thing is going on in Aus now, with people being the agent for the placentals getting there and the marsupials going extinct.

Yes --- logic and human thought can take a hike ---

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;

He'd have to work on existing first. But why would he do that?

You know how preposterous this is. It's impossible.

Not hardly --- what's the alternative? They swam there?
The alternative is that there was no "great flood" at that time, and whatever was on the continent of Australia as it broke free from the supercontinent evolved independently into what they are now.

You can interpret texts however you like.

you take this gift of human intelligence for granted. that is not reverence for God it is the opposite.
I've heard that a 1000 candlepower light will blind someone, but put it up against the sun, and the light shows up as black.

Human intelligence is indeed a brilliant thing*, but measured against God, it's black.

* Nobody can match the brilliance of George Koltanowski --- in my opinion --- nobody.

Yes --- logic and human thought can take a hike ---
You don't have anything else. You're a human, so all you can produce is human thought. You're not a big fan of logic, but it's pretty much the basis of the way we think. Without logic, no one will believe you. And no one should; why place your trust in something that fails your logical tests, especially when it claims to have designed you and your logical test-running brain? It's intellectually irresponsible, and anything that demands such irresponsibility is selling you something.

Don't you see? Without logic, no argument would make sense. Your username begins with an A, therefore you must be wrong about everything.

He gave you a heart, too.

Too bad the Bible doesn't explain what the heart does correctly, either. It is a pump. It has nothing to do with thought or emotion. I know.... Physiology and Medicine can Take A Hike, too! :p

Does someone need a course in omnipotence?

Does someone need a course in quoting in context?

Well, as long as God is able to lie, cheat, and deceive, I suppose shuffling islands like marked cards isn't too much of a stretch.

Again, why don't you run off and pray for God to move Guam (assuming you think He can actually do it), and come back with the results?
