FACT: No vice presidential candidate in memory has been less accessible to the national media than Sarah Palin. WHY?
FACT: Governor Palin performs relatively well in structured situations BUT floundered when Katie Couric started asking "follow up" questions - requiring more indepth knowledge. WHY?
FACT: Given that the McCain Campaign has had almost 7 weeks to "fast-track Palin's knowledge of the issues and that their "ticket" is significantly behind in the polls - why are they not allowing their "star" v.p. candidate a major role in promoting Republican issues on the media circuit?
Perhaps the only plausible conclusion is that the McCain Campaign has come to the stark realization that Sarah Palin, despite her many strengths, has major limitations concerning understanding and articulating complex issues.

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin was never sufficiently "vetted" to determine whether she had the mental and verbal skillls to function at the highest levels of American politics.
If Sarah Pailin was capable of answering the "tough questions," the McCain Campaign would have "showcased" their "emerging star" with the national media long ago.
