  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Church of God survived the inquisition when the Pope had hundreds of thousands if not millions murdered trying to stamp out the Church of God.
So the simple answer is yes the Church of God can survive without a pope. I mean, if it can survive with a pope, surviving without one is a piece of cake.

:D Then look what happened when Catholicism crept into the early Christian churches. Ya'll even made the Orthodox leave ;)

The Catholic Church sees the Orthodox still in communion with Her. So I disagree with your statement. :)

Gee, can I make up some of my own history too?

According to some Protestants they think the Catholic Church has fabricated the 1500 years of history before Martin Luther to cover up the "truth". ;)

Didn't you know? Paul layed hands on Martin Luther: There was nothing in between. LOL

LOL! That is funny considering they do not consider Paul to be someone to even pray to. :D

I also like the one where they say Constantine corrupted the Church and it disappeared until Martin Luther. Or maybe they were hidden for 1200 years? ^_^

Of course it can. The pope is no more important than any other person. Just because some people have an unhealthy admiration of Tradition, that at best is built on questionable earthly things, means nothing to the Church as a whole.

The Church is built on Christ alone.

Hey if that is what it took to break the Shackels of Rome.......HAIL PAUL!!!

Acts 15:10 Now then any/why ye are trying the God, to put a Yoke/zugon <2218> upon the Neck of the Disciples, which neither the fathers of us neither are we are able to bear? [Deut 28:48/Reve 6:5]

Reve 6:5 And when it up opens-up the seal, the third, I hear the third living-one saying: "Be coming!" And I saw and Behold! A horse, black, and the one sitting upon him having a Yoke/zugon <2218> in the Hand of him.[Deut 28:18/Acts 15:10]

Deuteronomy 28:48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which YHWH shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

A tradition by any other tradition that is untraditional becomes that tradition, that then becomes traditional until that tradition becomes untraditional.

Did the ECFs really know/understand the Scriptures better?
