  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Not me per se, but members of my immediate family have had several encounters with both, my mom especially.

When my aunt died, and my mom was very worried about her sister's salvation, she said she woke up to an ethereal presence in her bedroom, and she felt protected and loved. It was as though a voice from nowhere spoke and said "she is fine." And that was that. My mom has never worried nor wondered about my aunt's salvation after that.

My mom, again, dealt with something that she terms a battle of spirits. When my great uncle was giving up the fight, he had talked about sensing a presence in his room on a nightly basis and said he saw a glowing woman sitting on the foot of his bed. We chalked it up him being old and drugged up. But one night he made my mom stay there (dad was out in the hallway) and she said that around 10:30 she felt that same ethereal presence that she had felt previously. Then she said the entire room darkened and got freezing cold. She said it sounded like a train came roaring through. And my uncle throughout this was saying "okay, okay, I want to...no, no NO! Not you!" and then the ethereal presence came back. My mom said my uncle reached out a hand towards the corner of the room, and with a smile on his face, he passed away.

Both of these stories often bring tears to my eyes, for many reasons. My aunt was a wonderful person, and fully and wholly believed in God. She just didn't attend church much and was rather private about her beliefs. She also led a rather rebellious lifestyle and didn't like all the "rules" that the church imposed on her. But she once told me that she would give her life for her faith. It was a shame that she gave her life over $250 but that's a different story (abusive ex). I never doubted that she was in heaven, but the comfort and joy that my mom's experience brought to her is enough to make me feel comforted and joyful.

With my great uncle, if this whole notion of there being a battle is true (and I don't doubt my mom, I just wonder if it was really a battle) then I cry because I can't think of why there would need to be a battle. He was a firm believer and he spoke often (during lucid moments) of going home to see his Lord and Savior. I can only think that Satan was trying one last grab at him, just as a dig to God, even though Satan knew he couldn't have him. I'd like to believe that it was because my great uncle's heart was so given over to God, that Satan couldn't stand it.

These statements are just my opinion. The pastors that I have spoken to in regards to it do say it is entirely possible that these were encounters with angels and demons.

For me, my experiences were mostly demons. Most of the time presences. Once I saw a demon in a dream.

I have a story. Once there was this demon at a place where ne and my friend Emily was. The roblem was an unbeliever was doing things that summon demons and more kept coming. You could feel the evil presence. My friend got so scared she wouldn't to the back of the room. I knew I had to take a stand, so I started quoting Jesus in the Bible. Then all of a sudden a different presence appeared. They were angels. It took thirty minutes to get six or eight demons out. Beforethe primary one left, he said his name was James. Then the atmosphere became absolutely peaceful and joyful.

I've never encountered angel or demon through the five usual senses. But I have sensed the presence of angels, and even seen physical evidence of what they had done.

For example, if I'm struggling to do something like load a bulky object into a car, or get something awkward with many parts assembled--and this has happened more than once--I'll ask for divine help and then (snap) it instantly falls into place. There is no way I could have done it by myself, since up until then I had been struggling without results.

Oddly enough, I had an experience with angels out between the Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri. I was traveling with a girlfriend, and we were SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO lost. Didn't know which road to take, but we were out in the boonies. And we were praying about which way to go, and I thought I saw pink and blue lights in the sky. The funny thing about these lights was that there was no origin for them. You couldn't see where they started on the ground! But they reached up towards heaven, several hundred feet. And another thing about this episode was the other people. I mean, there were people driving by on the road we had pulled off of, and they were just whipping along. They didn't see the lights. WEIRD. But you know, shortly after that, we started driving again and found which road to turn on. The Lord was guiding us thenm and for the rest of the trip!!!!!!!!!!

Again, I got a little bored. I would like to ask if anyone here has had an encounter with demons or angels? This is sort of a sequel to my last thread. All opinions are welcome. Try to keep the heated arguments on minimum.

My short answer is yes. I won't go into the details but if anyone doubts the scriptures they are making a mistake. And all of that is clearly covered in Gods word.

I never had an encounter with Angels or Demons before, but a couple of years ago I had an encounter with God.

I had been seriously doubtling the faith and had all but abandoned it. I had been looking into Paganism and was seriously studying Gnosticism.

At around 10:00 am on Christmas Day, a voice spoke clearly to me in my head and said, "I am real, quit being stupid." My faith has never wavered even slightly since.

People tell me that I was imagining things. But I was not. I have no doubts.

I have never heard an experience of god this clearly.

Bless God!
