CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh man, I'm trying to figure out where I should post for some advice but, to be honest, it's kinda off-putting being that open and honest online. Most people would think I'm a freak, and I probably am!

It's a risk no matter when or where you share stuff, John. I can tell you that posting here will bring you responses from kind, caring, mature friends, and the occasional moron and jerk. Gotta take a deep breath and decide that you've got the nerve! (And just ignore the idiots if you can lol)

I agree, but I think some things should just be kept private. I'm at that age where older mature people don't quite take me seriously yet, but people my age think I'm a bit too serious (or crazy). haha.
