OK, when did the SAFE HOUSE get invaded???

As for Houston...in some areas it is ok in other no. HOWEVER...there is hardly any food, water, or gas for the entire metro which is basically the size of LA.

The panic has set in and FEMA is WORTHLESS. Rick Perry told FEMA to get out of our way and let us get our State back.

AS for emotionally and mentally, NONE of us are well...none

My daughter seems to be holding up well. Her husband actually had to go back to work yesterday. She stood in line for 12 hours yesterday hoping a shipment of generators would come into Home Depot. Cell phone service is spotty so I don't know if they ever got it. Still waiting to hear. If the shipment didn't come in, it means she back in line now.

They're in Spring. I offered to buy a generator here (1300 miles west) and take it to them, or meet them half way, but I can't even get one here. They're all being shipped to Houston. If they got the generator, they'll be in good shape as long as they can get gas for it. There was one gas station open and she said the line was a mile long. They bought gas cans, but I don't know if they had any luck getting gas yet. I just left her a VM on her cell to let her know that her school district is shut down for the rest of the week at least

Gas is going to be as hard to find right now as power.

My daughter called about an hour ago. they got a tip that Costco would have generators when they opened today. They go t there first in line and got a 7K watt generator to power the entire house. The Costco gas pumps had almost no line so my daughter went in the store to make the deal on the generator and my son-in-law gassed up the truck and the gas cans for the generator. She also got a call from the obgyn to reschedule her appt. It was supposed to be yesterday but everything was closed, so the doctor will be open tomorrow and she'll have her appt. That was one of the things that worried me the most about all this because she has a high risk pregnancy. I think she's right at 8 weeks now.

The person answered with "This is my only active account. It side-stepped the question because it didn't ask if there were any other "active" accounts, but other accounts, period. Just thought it was an interesting coincidence.
