Gay theology (i.e. Mel White, Soulforce) why even try?

But it's getting so that parents don't have freedom to oppose the gay agenda, anywhere but in their homes or Churches. For now anyway. ENDA is on the way to force homosexuality in every corner of society. Reminds me of 1930's and 1940's Germany.
Actually its your position that reminds me of the Nazis.

Day of silence is forced on all. If kids don't remain silent they are guilty of being a bigot, homophobe, hater yada, yada. It is intimidation pure and simple. It is not tolerance that the gay agenda preaches, it is authoritarian rule.
Please don’t lie. No one is forced to be silent on the Day of Silence.

The pamphlets are photos. They were written by people to show children how to engage in gay sex.

Now, show me scriptures that promote homosexuality IN the Bible.

Now I know what Jesus was talking about when he taught on the narrow path.

The pamphlet has photos of fully dressed people, and does not show them engaging in sexual activity. The text advises on how to engage in sexual activity safely whilst emphasising that the reader should not allow themselves to be pressurised into doing something they do not want to do. This, by the way, I think is A Good Thing.

What you were implying is that there were photos of people actively teaching children in person how to engage in same-sex sexual activity.
Now you seem to be suggesting that the mere existance of the pamphlet constitutes 'teaching children', although it is clear that it is aimed at mid to older teens who are already aware of their sexuality and simply require advice on safety.

Of course, if the pamphlet itself simply by its mere existance is teaching children to have gay sex, then you yourself have been promoting it by posting it on this forum. What's the minimum age for this site- 12? That's younger than the original intended audience.

In other words, Polycarp_fan, by your own argument you have just taught children how to have gay sex.

Did you even look up the Day of Silence?
On the Day of Silence, some people CHOOSE to spend the day in silence in order to spread awareness of intolerance of and crimes towards GLBT people.
No one is forced to be silent.
In fact, i read a post by a group of students who took opportunity of the fact that the GLTB supporters would not be speaking. They quoted bible verses and threw crumpled up brown paper (symbolic of rocks) at anyone they knew to be GLBT.
Which group do you think was showing intimidation in this situation? Which was displaying tolerance?

The worst thing about Booklets like the Little Black Book is not so much the subjects they cover, but the language which they phrase them in. Reading those things is, frankly, infantilising. It just comes off as if some 50 year old social worker read a few pages of MySpace and decided that that was the best way to communicate with teenagers. We all know what sperm is. 'F***ing'? You can call it penatrative sex, thanks.

Heh... my first thought on reading it is that the tone sounds like the equivalent of someone's dad putting a baseball cap on backwards, practically dislocating his fingers in an attempt to copy a rap gesture, trying a few hip-hop moves to show how down he is with the 'youf' and putting his back out in the process.

Still, at least it's memorable.

I asked my husband about the Day of Silence, since he was a paraeducator at our old high school for a year. When we were in school you weren't allowed to participate at all, and the year he worked there he had specific instructions to send anyone home that was seen participating. The reasoning being that they were "being obstinate" and "refusing to participate" by not speaking. Nevermind that you can still write things down if need be, and whatnot. He marched right up to the principal and argued for a good long while with her about it, to no avail.

So, Polycarp_fan, I don't believe that people are persecuted for refusing to participate in the Day of Silence.

Anyone under 13 needs parents' permission to join the site. COPPA

We do have members under the age of 13, and a fair amount of young to mid-teens here. Please post responsibly.

I only know of one person that participated in my high school (you know her too :p). I don't remember if Mike participated or not. I think he was still in the closet back then.

Our high school was a hostile environment to come out of the closet in. From a Biblical perspective, wouldn't that be encouraging the sin of false testimony (lying about one's sexuality)?

Yeah I forgot how scary your high school was. :/ I believe you would be right about bearing false witness by covering your sexuality and individuality. And a hostile school, in a predominantly conservative Christian town? That's a little un-Biblical too. Now what was that part about treating your neighbor as yourself, and loving all? ;)

According to the state agency that produced them, adults were actually the target audience.

It was never intended for children and never distributed to children

This list is only amusing to those utterly ignorant of science and logic.

You should be embarrassed to the point of severe depression.

I got a titter out of it, but probably not in exactly the way he/they intended...

Looking forward to seeing PC-F acknowledge this new information

What new information. I was just repeatedly called a liar by the haughtiness and inhospitality crowd. I posy what GLBT's actually do and I get ominous PM's. Sooo typical when dealing with GLBT's. I have presented what GLBT's (and their promoters) teach children. A child is a child and an adult is anyone 18 and over.

Notice the lack of position by GLBT's on the "OP?"

BOO! doesn't work on me either. Any Christian that does now cower to the GLBT agenda knows what is coming. I'm a big boy over the age of 18. It's rather fascinating seeing the Sodom story acted out in 2008.

The same agenda that created Sodom and Gomorrah, Babylon and Rome. Greece too probably. The corruption of a society and a civilization. This position is nothing new.

You should really talk to a professional about the way you feel and your paranoia. It isn't healthy.

Even if we go on your twin dubious assumptions that these societies were (A) "founded" on homosexuality, whatever that means and (B) are the only societies in history in which people normatively engaged in same-sex love, sex and relationships (I still can't post links, but feel free to do a Google Scholar search for "The Evolution of Human Homosexual Behavior" by Kirkpatrick for a litany of cultures who historically accepted homosexuality before Christian imperialism took over) -- even if we accept these two assumptions to be true, why assume that homosexuality destroyed these societies? Didn't they do some pretty awesome stuff and exist for quite a long time -- longer than, say, the United States has? Didn't the Romans have a rather impressive military record? Didn't the Greeks give us logic and democracy? Couldn't you just as easily say, "Homosexuality is responsible for cultural endurance, triumph in war and populist rule" as "Homosexuality is responsible for the destruction of civilization" based on your assertions? "These societies had gay people and since they're all dead now it must be bad to be gay" is a rather shallow point even for you. They probably all ate bread, too, but mysteriously you fail to attribute their ultimate demise to bread...

Somehow I find myself doubting the veracity and completeness of the information you have provided on the GLBT group. Care to tell us how you researched your information and what your credentials to interpret it are?

Do you think gay people sit around saying, "Let's corrupt society and cause the death of Western civilisation"?

Or do you think their motives for doing whatever you think it is they're doing, albeit misguided in your opinion, are well-meaning?
