Have to agree with Charityagape here - "Missy" is guranteed to irritate a woman, very disrespectful.

If anyone wants to really get me on their side they just need to address me as "Ma'am" I'd be putty in your hand LOL!

Ma'am is very respectful and I'd wouldn't be offended at all..............but in the back of my head it always makes me feel old....probably cause I still "FEEL" like I'm nineteen.

Welp
OK ma'am
....I'm old...so anyone younger than me is a "Missy". If you felt true disrespect, say it and I will apologize sorta.
Missy. =)

Anyway....it's funny how people get so sensative here, when we are discussing God and such, and that we ALL need to be more like our Lord, and humble ourselves a bit.
But as I always say...this is forum so chill.
I wonder if TB was PC when he claimed to kick that old lady in the face, or whatever, and the entire audience(there for the show, and laughing cause they are just lunatics) laughed at that "testimony" eh????? Did I get us back on topic with that??????

Peace and God Bless.

To the OP: continue....sorry about this little PC tangent(and by pc I mean politically correct c***).

If you're true age is 38.......you're hardly a senior compared to my 34........that would make us contemporaries and yes I did feel true disrespect, but since you're only going to sorta apologize......please don't, sonny.

To add........I don't think (IMHO) disrespecting a person falls under politically correct crude.............I wouldn't call someone a beaner and then answer their objection by telling them its politically correct crude.

From my couple of visits to the States I have learned that "Miss" (with no "y") is a polite form of address for a lady if she's unmarried or very young, and Ma'am if she's a married or mature woman.

Even to my British ears, Missy is most definitely a term of disrespect, one we'd only use over here when admonishing a little girl, so to use it towards me is likely to cause disharmony in my reaction to you. ;)

The same usage would apply here.

:o

"We don't need to get the people to believe in Jesus, they already believe in Jesus, we need them to believe in The Angel."

How much more dangerous do you think there is?
It's simply amazing how you can post something that is talking about people who ALREADY BELIEVE in Jesus (i.e. Christians), and continue to insinuate that Todd Bentley is advocating that Jesus is not important.

You have SORELY ripped that quote out of its proper context to bear false witness against and misrepresent what Todd Bentley actually said in that clip.

This is why your "warnings" are suspect, because apparently, you feel it's OK to remove single sentences from their context to make it appear as though something is being promoted that is not.

People warning others shouldn't need to use deception as one of their tools to get their message across.

Pete,

I agree with you here. I have seen the video and decided Todd's intent was at best inconclusive; so I've never brought up the issue.

But Pete - back to this thread and the OP - how can you use words like:

"ripped that quote out of its proper context to bear false witness against and misrepresent what Todd Bentley actually said"

"apparently, you feel it's OK to remove single sentences from their context to make it appear as though something is being promoted that is not"

"shouldn't need to use deception as one of their tools to get their message across"

Yet Pete, you don't appear to use the same measuring rod when it comes to Todd Bentley and his doctored Emma teaching?

Why is this?

Yet Pete, you don't appear to use the same measuring rod when it comes to Todd Bentley and his doctored Emma teaching?

Why is this?
What different measuring rod am I using?

The bottom line is, anyone who has watched this video and has any semblance of objectivity can tell that Todd Bentley was not saying that Jesus was unimportant, and yet people continue to push that idea from a single, out-of-context quote.

As to the article that you call the "Emma teaching", I already addressed that earlier in the thread. I sincerely don't believe that article was EVER intended to focus on female angels and/or Emma. Therefore, in a side by side comparison of the article, I don't see how the overall message has changed all that drastically.

That said, I did say earlier that I believe that the editing of the article appeared deceitful, so I'm not sure why you believe I'm using a different measuring rod...
