  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you think Noah's Ark is on Arrat???

sulphur,

I am a YEC(Young Earth Creationst) and always will be.

As far as I'm concerned the world is only about 6000 yrs old and radiometric dating, half life, decay rows and such are all just theories.
Nothing ever lived/lasted more than that amount of time in this universe.

I could go into it but I'll just leave it at that :)

In Christ,

Hector

I completely agree.

Douglaangu,

I think I'll do that for you gimme a day or two.

Right now I'll tell you this much:

Were you there?
When did you see one form and die in that amount of time.
Proven history only goes back to about 4000 B.C. with the hebrew records being the oldest.

I'll get back to ya' soon.

"Were you there?"
Were I where? How does this relate to the status of 'radiometric dating, half life, decay rows and such'?

"When did you see one form and die in that amount of time."
One what?

"Proven history only goes back to about 4000 B.C. with the hebrew records being the oldest."
What do you mean 'proven'. All the early hebrew records would have been the result of oral-tradition, only been written down when writing was invented.

Genesis was written around 1500 BC. There were other written languages and records before that. They were written on clay tablets though. Moses was the first to write on paper.

actually, if you take a look for a man by the name "ron wyatt", he and his exploration team found the ark on the Aruatu (i think that's how it's spelled) mountain ranges by one of the borders of turkey, if i'm not mistaken

I think I know what you are talking about. But what he thinks is the ark is probably an old ship.

While routinely examining aerial photos of his country, a Turkish army captain suddenly gaped at the picture shown above. There, on a mountain 20 miles south of Mt. Ararat, the biblical landfall of Noah's Ark, was a boat-shaped form about 500 feet long. The captain passed on the word. Soon an expedition including American scientists set out for the site.
At 7,000 feet, in the midst of crevasses and landslide debris, the explorers found a clear, grassy area shaped like a ship and rimmed with steep, packed-earth sides. Its dimensions are close to those given in Genesis: `The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, the breadth of it 50 cubits, and the height of it 30 cubits,' that is, 450x75x45 feet. A quick two-day survey revealed no sign that the object was man made. Yet a scientist in the group says nothing in nature could create such a symmetrical shape. A thorough excavation may be made another year to solve the mystery."

well, seesaw, It is in the exact dimentions the Bible instructed

So. That doesn't mean anything. They said it wasn't made by man. And it's nothing from nature so it can only be something that an alien made.

We are not sure if what Ron Wyatt found is actually Noah's Ark. AIG has distanced itself from Ron. If you check out his website: anchorstone international and read about his visitation from an angel, you may see why.
