  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The taverna is almost always empty now.

We have to spice it up with something.
Would some curry powder help?

Yes, sir.

Bring on some hot pictures of food.

And please do share the recipes.

On second thought, bring on some dishes using hot cayenne peppers.

I heard that mosquitoes do not bite and it sure keeps the sinuses clear.

Do you know of any other foods that repels those bugs?
Oh, sugar and sweets attract mosquitoes. Did you ever watch TWIN TRAP?

UNGH.

I may just have to make the hardest decision of my life. Please pray for me, I don't feel like sharing details but I'd really love your prayers.

I'm going to talk to my SF tomorrow if I can. Lord have mercy upon me.

Tomorrow AM local time I'm heading back to the US. Please say a prayer for smooth and ontime flights. By the time I get on the road for home it will probably be worst DC traffic time... UGH. I have about 3.5 hrs without traffic to get home and I really want to get home that night... so I hope I get some sleep on the flight and then don't get stuck in traffic.
I'll post when I get home again! :) Can't wait!

GO PENS!!!!! *waves to Michael*

You are in my prayers. Call me if you need to stay awake!

That was one beautiful hockey game! I knew all along the reason the Pens did not win Thurs night was that I did not have my Mario Lemieux jersey and my good luck dog (Ruutu) with me! :D

Thankyou for those who prayed for me. I didn't get to talk to my SF, but the situation just changed, slightly. I have no idea if it's for the better or not, time will tell.

I try to pray for him each night in my prayers, but occasionally I forget.

Hi Kyriaki, I will pray for you on Wednesday :) Michael my DH watched both games the Penguins and Celtics... they both won....Go Pens, Go Celtics :)

I watched a little of the Celts game and was torn. I grew up on Larry Bird, Kevin Mc Hale, Robert Parish and Danny Ainge, but living in Cleveland I became a little fond of the Cavs (I know, it is heretical for a Pittsburgher to chear for anything Cleveland). As for the Pens game, Jenn the Finn and I were texting each other the entire game, which was in itself hilarious.

Esp since we were on different continents and I had to pay 10 bucks to watch the game (thanks freaking EU)... And for once I think I was cursing mom's internet more than I was the refs... :sorry:

And I'm home too... uneventful trip, but I must have had the rudest person in air travel sitting next to me. No teenager, a middle aged man. UGH! For most of the flight he was blasting his music on the headphones so loud I could hear it through my earplugs. I was trying to tell him to take it down a notch but he just ignored me. Then when he was eating he had the headphones around his neck and turned up the volume even more so he could hear it.... I was sitting in the aisle and when we got to DC I got up and got all my stuff together, waiting to get off... he gets up, pushes himself in front of me (where there is no space), grabs his bag and gets his fat body between me and the guy in front... Umm, yea... I almost took a bottle of water and poured it over him at that point.

Yikes! What awful behavior! :o

Maybe you should have "accidentally" poured that water on his iPod. :ebil:
