  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (6)

I was under the impression that he said he was for sure comming back another year..:(

To abruptly change the subject..I hope you're all voting/rooting for Hillary this evening.

I definately don't want her to be President, but if she loses Texas tonight, we can almost expect Barack Hussein Obama to be our next President..

As far as Favre is concerned, I'll believe it when the season starts. He has a history...
Nope....the press has a history. They hound him every year, he loves to play with them a bit. He has never announced that he is retiring. Unfortunately, I think this is the real thing.

Hillary or Barak? What would be the lesser of two evils? It has to be Barak hands down. But I'll be voting for neither.
I just wish it was over

Tired of the commercials
Tired of the passionate speeches
Tired of the debates
Tired of the bickering

I'm in deep trouble when the election rolls around this year. I can not in good Christian conscience vote for either. Either way it's a vote for a Democrat.

He announced that he was retiring 2 years ago... and then changed his mind. Like I said, I'll believe it when the season starts and he's not on the field. :p

I hope you are right, and he does change his mind! :) But, from what we are hearing, it's a done deal.

Trust me, the press has hounded Brett for 6 years about when he's going to retire....we all thought it was funny when he played with them a couple of years ago. But, you are a big football guy, and you may remember it differently than I do. Call it fibro fog for me! ^_^

Well, maybe he was just playing with the press a couple years ago. All I know is that he said he was retiring and then he changed his mind and played again.

As to the election... It seems the Republican party thinks that we will vote for the clowns. Sadly, the won't allow Allan Keys to run. He's tried, and they just shut him out. Certainly a better man by far than anyone running now.:sigh: Regarding Barak Obama and his middle name? The man's father burdened him with it. The media seems bent on ensuring the Democrat gets elected this time. Has anyone noticed that the Repubs barely get mentioned? Yet the Dems are the main subject. So much for fair air time... Don't you just love the un-biased reporting we get from Pravd... um, our media?

THE ROBINS HAVE ARRIVED! Along with the Canadian Geese. Yet, the supply line from the spring house is still freezing from time to time.

Stopped by Walmart yesterday and bought some Jiffy trays. Love the things for starting seeds. We'll have a Cracker-Jack garden this year.:D They also had a great deal on sixty Glad bulbs. George really likes them, so I splurged.

Anyone for a wee cuppa? I'll be Mother! The pot's 'stinky tea' today (LOL). No biscuits today, anyone else have some around? I picked up some crackers and peanuts to make Mum's peanut biscuits (cookies to us Yanks) yesterday. Perhaps I'll bring some to the kitchen in the next few days.

Hope you all have a great day!
