I wish I had the enthusiasm and dogged determination of LutheranMafia. Must be a "youth" thing. I think he has worn everyone out in the TCL forum. :swoon:

We can only tell him the same things so many times before it becomes monotonous. He's a misled ELCA product. There may be no getting to him here.

This is what happens when theology is approached like physics. One looks toward finite answers and the other growth in closeness to the One who IS the answer. The need to solve a problem drives one course of study while the other is fed by, while in turn feeding, one's faith. :)

Ok everybody be nice to cerette- she isn't from the US! She has an excuse.... :)

Brett Favre has been the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers (Wisconsin) NFL football team for 18 yrs or so. He has been a pretty awesome QB, setting lots of records- very beloved to Packer fans. Hope that helps!

There he is...my buddy Brett. :) I thought everyone knew who Brett was. I guess 18 years in the NFL just wasn't long enough for folks to get to know who he was. ^_^
I'm not a football fan, but I do know who Brett is. I don't understand why everybody is so upset though. It's not like you're never gonna see this guy again. Won't Brett just join the other ex-football players who have been put out to pasture in the the announcers booth? That's what seems to happen in pretty much every sport.

I'm not a huge fan either- and Green Bay isn't even my fav. team- but not everyone is upset. My hubby is a Green Bay fan and when he heard, he said "good for him!" He's just glad Brett is getting out without any serious injuries- which is how many retire anymore. I think a lot of people just wish they had a 'farewell year'. Everyone knows he's not going to play forever- at 38 years he's plenty old, for a football player.

Even though I wasn't a big fan, I still enjoyed watching him. That's another thing about Brett- there were a lot of games where he would do some awesome pass at the very end of the game and pull off another win. He's a lot of fun to watch, and people will miss that.

Hillary or Barak? What would be the lesser of two evils? It has to be Barak hands down. But I'll be voting for neither.

Why vote for the LESSER of two evils??

Cthulhu for President '08!

:D

Kae

ETA: Barack Hussain Obama sure would be better than Clinton. After 4 years he'll have wonked up the USA so much that its people will want to go back to Conservatism a hundredfold. *G*
