CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There are several who need prayer. Rosey's mom, and also prayer for her as her job changes, Flat, his family and his uncle's family as they mourn Flat's uncle. Springrain needs prayer for her health. Viper has had problems with a cyst. Ctay, an infection. BellaSong is struggling with hurt from the past. Edie needs healing, and CoolMom has asked for more time with her sons.
Let us pray for them, knowing that we serve an awesome God.

The funeral is today (we don't waste time in my family). I'm doing okay, just feel off about not being there for my aunt and cousins. I spoke with one cousin's ex-wife and she said he's really hurting. It's like he just can't cry right now. My mother said my aunt (her sister) and my cousins are holding up about as can be expected . . thanks for asking.
I keep a list too.
I used to have a handwritten list, but that got really bad. Now I use an excel spreadsheet. I keep track of times just by listing the last reps to come in at the bottom of the list.
And I almost put someone down on my list who actually repped me for a regular post elsewhere. Can you imagine? Both actually getting repped somewhere else and almost repping him in return?

That is a good idea! I can hardly keep track of who I want to give thank you reps to, let alone when I will get more reps. I need to keep a list for these things...I keep a list too.

No, Lookin, not at all. I can't walk across my living room without getting cat hair all over my clothes. Fortunately, I'm usually a mess anyway so no one really notices.
Here's a phone call I just got (yes, at 5:45ish Pacific time).
Caller: this call is for <your mother>, this is XYZ Hospital (where she works). Is she coming in today?
Me: She's at the funeral of her brother in law today in Arizona (we live in CA)
Caller: So that means she won't be coming in?
