  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My grandma needs prayer. She just went through a series of shots to the knee and nothing worked, so now they are going to do knee surgery on both knees. she is 70 years old.

I will be praying!! Does she have arthritis in her knees??? If so I did to bone on bone, had both knees replaced in 94&95 best thing I ever did!!! Now they have come such a long way in what they use for replacements. I also used shots, but the last ones did no good that's how I knew surgery wasn't far behind!! Have her find a surgeon she has real faith in, and ask questions questions questions, will pray for the Lord's guidance.
Bless your Grandma:groupray: :groupray:

Please keep my family and myself in prayer, for decisions we must make concerning our 90 year young Mother. She fell a week ago, and am realizing maybe she should not live in our home and alone, of course she doesn't see this. The Lord really has His hand on her because she did not get hurt, and was able to make it back in the house. She says she will stay in our house till the end, which just might be what the Lord has is mind. Little prayer here from anyone who feels led,
Thank You

Big prayers for you and you family, Miss Bonnie;)

We thank You for this precious gift of "mom", Father. We thank You for her protection, and for Your Word that tells us: 'A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. For God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

Thank You that You've given her ears to hear Your will, a mind to understand it and a determination to act upon what she learns.

We thank You that You waste no thing, Lord, and that this time of crisis will be used to show Your glory to many along the way.

Your power knows no limits, and we know that You will provide whatever strength is needed to Your family, that is in Christ Jesus.

I am sad to report I am attending and participating in hosting a memorial service for a young woman today. She passed away after her bronchitis turned into pneumonia. She laid down to take a nap and didn't wake up. Her husband is now left alone with their 3 young children. They had moved back here to Houston from Dallas and just started coming back to our church when this happened.

Please pray for his peace of mind and that he leans toward God to help him through this situation and not blame God or leave the church. His Mom also attends the church, so she is there for constant support.

My MIL went to the ER Dec 23rd. They found a mass, they said on her kidney. She has since been to the Dr who has found the kidney only has a legion but she does have a mass on her ovary. Then in going to a 2nd Dr he found a tumor on her other ovary too. Now she will be going to an OB/GYN on Jan 30th (which happens to be my B-Day) so that they can do some tests to make sure it is not cancer or anything. Also they will figure out what process they will have to use to remove it. Whether she will need a full hysterectomy or not.

My in laws are the pastors of our church, she is the praise team leader. So we definitely have a major prayer chain going for this. But we will take all the help we can get on this one. Please lift her up. She tends to not take care of herself because she is so busy doing everything to help everyone else, she runs herself down and is sick a lot. I hope she will slow down this time to take care of herself for a change. I do everything I can to relieve her so she can have some free time. I guess its just the kind of person she is.

My daughter is a RN and does care for people in their homes. Usually they have had serious surgery and opted to re-coupe at home. She started with Dale about a yr. ago and it was only going to be 4 or 5 months. Dale has stage 4 colon cancer. She is also very allergic to many meds and chemo drugs, so it has been a long and hard time for her and her husband, who is a doctor. Well after all the chemo and many more problems along the way, it is now a little over a year since daughter has been there and not to long ago they found the cancer to be in remission PTL!! But in the mean time they had to put a stunt in at the bottom of her esophagus, to help with something. So lately Dale has been in severe pain, in that area!! They have found she has a huge ulcer!!! To remove the stint in the esophagus, even though this is what has caused the ulcer(rubbing) is not a choice. Now it looks as if THIS is what is going to kill her!!! Needless to say my daughter has become very attached to this family, and is starting to have a hard time with it all. Please keep all these people in prayer!! Pray for the Lord's will be done, only He knows who will live and who and when will die. Death has become very close before to this lady but the Lord has brought her back. Pray that my daughter will be a good witness and soldier of the Lord, and able to answer any questions that may come up. Prayers are needed,
Thanks
Bonnie
