that was exactly what I was concerned about when I read flaglady's post regarding adherance to the guidelines and posted my concern about that; and it seems I was right after all.

What was strange about it was, they made it a 7 day fsb... not just 24 hrs.
Don't ask me where that came from - I don't recall that in the cc guidelines at all.

The rules on that are pretty weird. First of all, no member KNOWS what the rules are. Second, apparantly under the probation, fsb's are at the discretion of the Admins. Third, I bet Eric didn't receive any warnings or infractions either. Fourth, I bet even though he was cleared of any wrong doing, his previous ban was used against him to give him the 7 day instead of the 24 hour.

it's all gone a little freakish~appears that those higher ups (& maybe mods too?) have free reign to ban whenever~guess if one of us disappears for a while we'll know what happened

Neither will membership be for long. It seems whenever an SA pops in to post a "suggestion" it's really code for "we're going to make this change regardless of what the members want".

(**not all mods/staff are who I'm talking about - there are some very good ones that I respect) -
Would CC have been attempted to be shut down by staff prior to Lee's changes?

As for working with Jim and Jo (Flaglady) I don't know that it will get us anywhere. But I know that I want to try to get someone to listen. I have had a good working relationship in the past with Jo and while Jim and I have disagreed much lately I haven't written him off as disinterested. Right now I am not happy with the Kumbaya regulations but maybe just maybe we can preserve CC as a haven for conservatives.

Perhaps I can help, perhaps I can't. But I won't be happy with myself if I don't try. Regardless of the outcome I will be posting more at C-C-F and less here.
