Any Progs changed thier minds on a possible forum split yet?

Well, the Trad area is once again rumbling with the desire to split from us (funny how they claim that the new rule system was implemented to deal with flames and harrassment from US as they absolve themselves as pure, white, innnocent lambs.

How convienient.

So, they are still hoping for a split. Great! I would love nothing more! Let's get this thing done already, we are long overdue!

Just wondering if anyone here has now changed thier position on the matter and desires to not work against a split this time if it goes to another poll. Will there be a groundswell of support, or are you all still against it?

If the majority are happy with this fiasco, I will not pursue the matter. However, if there is renewed interest, we should get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

I have not seen any response from her fellow Trads correcting her or admonishing her on the matter, so I must assume they are in agreement with her desire. Furthermore, there are many more Trads that voted for a split when it went to poll the first time MVA.

Surely you could not have missed that at the time?

BTW, I am absolutely not one who believes that Scripture is not the word of God or not inspired by God, so please make note of that when you guys engage in your questionable Prog generalizations.

If a person expresses their opinion about splitting that is fine, but it is just an opinion. Sure I don't share it - which means I don't share it with you either.

It will have to wait until the middle of next month when I am done with this cursed, annoying ban. Although, with the way things are looking for me in the report area, there might be another two weeks coming yet.

Where would I go to find this for myself? I didn't realize you were still on a ban. Does the ban limit you to this forum only?

I will have to say from looking at who voted it was a pretty good mix of trads and progs on both sides of the issue.

Not all of us "trads" are for the split. I never was, and still am not. Nor do I believe either side is responcible for the problems here. Everyone who takes part is equally at fault.

I can be friends with two Christians who do not hold to the SDA beliefs, can have full out debates with them on certain things..and still avoid actually fighting or any hurt feelings. They are actually my closest friends. It's all about boundries, respect, love, etc.

*Note that I am not trying to compare Progressives as non-SDA's. Simply saying that we have such different viewpoints on some key subjects (even the Sabbath), and can still get along perfectly*

Last I checked the spokes on a bicycle wheel do not agree on which hole is best to be attached to yet they find a way of working together for the benefit of the wheel. Interesting.

Sure as long as they agree to disagree, however our solution seems to be 'divorce' or 'legal separation' whenever someone with a different view expresses it. What's the problem is the foundation of your faith (generic) so weak it can't stand a difference of opinion? Good thing the human body does not operate like this. Instead we get the regional conference mindset (which is you look different from us so out of sight means out of mind aka get lost)
