CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My aunt is on her way home from the hospital today. It's an 8 hour drive though, which will be hard on her. The surgeon was nice enough to keep her in the hospital for an extra day because of the drive, bless him!I'm so glad that your aunt's surgery went well!I will continue to pray for her recovery.

It's going well. The job is good, the good is good, but I'm bored stiff off-duty. I am teaching dance lessons though, and that is kinds fun - first good lesson was Thrusday nite - 7 young people showed up, so the enthusiasm was great. I was in a bad mood and hoping noone would show up, but I was grinning by the end of it.

My Sunday has been fabulous. My dad took my older son golfing and to play catch this AM, while I was preparing for his birthday party. We had the birthday party this afternoon, which was an absolute blast. My son informed me that he wants all of his birthday parties to be at the bowling alley from now on.
And, I got off the phone just a bit ago with a pretty cool guy.
