Dust In The Wind is one of my all time favorite classic rock songs. It's so beautiful, meaningful and haunting. I get choked up every time I listen to it.

I read Kerry Livgren's autobiography, and he said his pursuit of Buddhism led him to the conclusion he reached in 'Dust in the Wind' (which is the same conclusion drawn by the thinker in Ecclesiastes!), and it eventually led to his finding hope in Christ.

I believe they are still coming out with records (on a very occassional basis). I'm not sure, but I think that Kerry Livgren writes some of the lyrics and while the albums wouldn't be considered 'Christian' albums, he does put some references to his faith in there. At least that is what I have been told.

Anybody here familiar with their song "Sweet Child of Innocence"?

It was on one of their early albums, before they hit the big time.

I think it's a vastly underrated song, and even a lot of Kansas fans aren't familiar with it.

It's off their third album, "Masque", which was released in 1975. They were virtual unknowns until they hit the big time in 1976, with the release of "Leftoverture".

Actually, the title of the song as listed on the album cover is "Child of Innocence", but the lyrics of the song refer to "Sweet Child of Innocence".

If you download music, it's a song you definitely should check out.

"Masque" was one of the most underrated albums of the 70's, a "lost gem" of the classic rock era.

My screen name is the first song Kerry Livgren wrote as a born again Christian. I have seen Kansas in concert five times, unfortunately without Livgren.

That is also one of my favorites. Very powerful song. Livgren continues to write great stuff as a Christian.

haha, my friend's brothers play guitar and bass and drums and they play this song all the time, and my friend doesn't like it at all...so i joke around with her and her brother, and now they play it even more, and their profile song is that too......
