That really isn't the case at all. I can't think of a single thread I have made with such intention. This is a sincere question, because I know that Orthodoxy teaches that all religions have some Truth in it, and perhaps this is where she and I are getting mixed up in our understanding?

Must be, because all religions certainly do not lead to God. Orthodoxy definitely does not teach that.

Namaste - I bow to God within you. Since Christ lives in Christians, I figured it'd be OK. If not, I'll stop. Not a big deal. :)

ANd, while you're at it,, no more of this wiccan "blessed be" garbage, to end a post!

Young man, you need to take a good close look at Eastern Pantheistic Monism and then take a close look at Orthodoxy. They are NONE in the same. I may be created in the imago dei, but NEVER bow down to me.

Lord have mercy.

Is this teaching applicable and compatible with Orthodoxy? I have talked to a fomer TAWer (still Orthodox) that says this. They say that even nuns they have talked to agree, etc.

Is this true?

The short answer is "no".

Yes, it's true. All paths lead to God. All paths. Every path. Straight paths. Crooked paths. Hilly paths. Bumpy paths. Paved paths. Unpaved paths. Asphalt-covered paths. Cobblestone paths. Moving sidewalks. Escalators. Elevators. Foot trails. Horse trails. Covered wagon trails.

They all lead to God.

All vehicles lead to God. Cars. Trucks. Planes. Trains. Subways. Submarines. Boats. Ships. Gliders. Skateboards. Roller Skates. Inline Skates. Motorcycles. Vespas.

And, speaking of Subways, all sandwiches lead to God, too. Subways. Quiznos. BLTs. Hot Dogs. Hamburgers. Grilled Cheese. Philly Cheese Steak (especially Philly Cheese Steak!). Gardenburgers. Poor Boys. Muffulettas. Open-faced. You name it, you eat it, it leads to God.

There. Does that answer your question?

Don't forget the Buddhist Hot dog... Ask the guy to make you one, with everything! ;)

You say, "No big deal" (presumably re: you being willing not to do this, but it could also be taken to mean your view of what you did) and that you "figured it'd be OK." What gave you that idea? What in the millions of threads you've posted and answers you've received made you think that "bowing down to the God within us" would be OK? Who in the gazillions of responses to your posts here ever gave you that idea?

I will no longer refer to you as AS or JH or even Seeker....

Until you learn to respect the forum in which you are living day in and day out.... I am not sure how I may or may not respond to you lad.

This saddens me greatly.

I hate to be angry, but I am.

Lord have mercy.

Wow. I really apologize for any offense. I figured it'd be theologically correct, with Christ living within and all. Then again, I've never claimed to be a theologian.

And the "no Big deal" was in reference to be not saying Namaste to greet with anymore.

You have stepped into seriously deep water my young friend.

Better take a very close look at the depth.
It might be too late for him. I am seriously fed up with his silliness and have begun to wonder if this is all not a game to him. Thus I feel the need from here on out to completely wash my hands of him and his silliness and let him tread whatever path he wishes to take. Maybe he just needs to learn the hard way.

Why don't you read through this:

Orthodox Dogmatic Theology

and read through this:

The Orthodox Faith series (vol. 1-4)

and after you've done that, you will likely have most of your questions about Orthodoxy answered from authoritative/knowledgeable sources, rather than from us amateurs here.

That is, if you want answers, and you're not just using us to keep you company, or if you're not really looking for answers, but just want to keep asking questions because you like asking questions and/or it somehow gives you a sense of affirmation because people acknowledge your existence whenever they respond to you. Which, as Uncle Clem said, you will likely find fewer and fewer people in TAW willing to bother to do (i.e., respond to you) if you continue with this line of threads and posts, because such threads and posts seem just to be flippant or simply for the sake of argument. E.g., if you didn't know by now that Orthodoxy does NOT teach that "all paths lead to God," you have not been paying attention to any of the hundreds and hundreds of responses people have been giving you in answer to your many posts and questions (and even rants) over the past many months, or have been giving to the other inquirers here. And if you show, as per this thread, that you really aren't learning from anything we say here, then why do you think people will continue to respond to you when it appears you aren't interested in their answers?

Forgive me.

P.S. If we here believed that Orthodoxy teaches that all paths lead to God, why in tarnation (or any other nation) would we have put ourselves through all the grief and crises and frustrations and family-stressing situations that our conversions to Orthodoxy, or inquiries into Orthodoxy, have entailed for many of us?

And please don't carry on or start this "Do all paths lead to God?" conversation in the C-C-F Orthodox forum that many people here have recently joined - at least not until you've read and understood and digested the above-mentioned online books and learned what Orthodoxy does and does not teach.
