I see that you are new here. Based on what we have seen for several thousand posts now your hope is vain. "God did it" has been AV's only answer so far.

Trust me, I understand. I've had discussion with creationists on other sites (and I truly don't have any problems with OECs). I just don't get why he would start a thread like this promising to answer questions and then supply "God did it" as his response to everything. Why bother wasting our time like this?

Pride.

AV has to much to ever admit he's been licked like like a lollipop in these discussions that he'll just keep coming back for more and repeating his same already debunked "arguments", and others think they're the one that's finally going to put him in his place and show him how wrong he is - despite the fact that he's shown no inclination to learn since arriving here - and they feel compelled to respond to him rather than ignore him.

I'm one of those that feels Creationists shouldn't go unchallenged for the sake of the lurkers, but there are some intransigents everyone should just put on ignore or fight the urge to reply to.

Did anyone seriously think that this thread would become anything different than a long stray of posts where AV1611VET types in 'goddidit'. goddidit goddidit goddidit goddidit goddidit goddidit, that's all he has. Someone on here expressed surprise that he only lasted some 90 minutes. Noone should be surprised at that with AV.

I have not read this thread But i would like some questions answered.

1 How big was the arc?
2 how long did it take to build
3 how many animals were their on the arc?
4 how long did it take to collect the animals?
5 how could the animals that Noah collected live long enough for Noah to collect all the *other* animals?
6 were did all the food from the voyage come from?
7 was Noah rich or poor?
8 how much time did Noah have to do all this
9 were their dinos on the arc?
10 how did the genetic purity of humans and animals survive, and why has science not detected our shallow dna pools. wouldn't we all look alike (see cheetah)?
11 why did Noah not save unicorns and dragons and all the other magical creatures?
12 how did we developed such rich cultures in such a short amount of time? if god gave us different cultures through the tower of bable (and not just different speech), how could be upset with Buddhists and Hindu and Muslims for thinking differently, after all religion is mostly based on geography and culture.
13 how did our skin colors change (not just black and white)?
14 were did the excess water come from?
15 were did the water go afterwards?
16 how did the fresh water animals live when all the rivers and streams were covered in salt water. The way I see it, ether all the salt water fish died or all the fresh water fish died.
17 how did all the trees survive the flood?
18 how did animals migrate to remote islands?
19 why do some places exist that clearly show no signs of erosion (as mentioned earlier in this thread)
20 how did Noah rescue the termites?

This is pathetic. You've gone from "I'll answer questions" to silly non-answers to simply whining about the questions themselves. And all within the space of 93 minutes!

Is it any wonder that creationists aren't taken seriously?

Now that's a question I'd like to see AV answer from a Biblical perspective. ^_^

Since God knew the Fall would happen, why did he create nature in such a way as to be imperfect after the Fall?

thats two fold, because why would he make everything perfect before the fall? i mean its just going to be messed up after the fall right?

nice two sided para dime. i like it.

How could his creation be called perfect in the first place, if it could fall? How could a created human be called perfect, if it couldn't fully grasp the consequences of it's actions and hence enable the fall?

We are not a sentinent ape species. We were created special --- that is, in God's likeness and image.

If that is the case, why do we look so much like apes? Does God look like an ape too - obviously, you can't claim that that is spiritual likeness since the Bible is literal.

Do you have any questions from a Biblical perspective, or are you just trying to be funny?

I'm not interested in what your textbooks teach, I'm interested in what my Bible says.

And if your textbooks disagree with my Bible, your textbooks are wrong.

Eh? I (and Frumy) said nothing about textbooks - just things that exist in the real world. You said you would explain them from a Biblical perspective, and all you've done is tried to run away!

I've not been surprised so far, but that doesn't stop me from trying AV's technique of debate by repetition. That is, if I say something often enough, and AV ignores it often enough, perhaps even I will be able to give a creationist a guilty feeling of intellectual dishonesty.

HAH! Not likely.

God did it.

In other words you can't answer anything without invoking the Omphalos Hypothesis.

Sorry for that reply, as I was in a hurry, since my time on here is budgeted.

Your question about fossils involved [probably] thousands of years of time.

I created this thread to discuss the first 144 hours of this universe's existence (specifically, what wasn't here and what didn't occur during those 144 hours).

There were no fossils present during Creation Week.

So if you like God did it please tell us how an Omnipotent, Omniscient God ends up "Repenting" of His creation and decides to destroy it with a big flood.

The Bible says "it repented the Lord":

[bible]Genesis 6:6[/bible]

Since "repent" means to do a 180, the point is that mans' ways (and I'm going to choose this next word carefully) forced* God to take action.

*For lack of a better term.

Really? I thought you were covering the Flood as well.

Whilst we're here, can you give us actual dates for both the Creation and the Flood?

Why did God take six days to create the universe and all its contents; why not create it in an instant?

He purposedly chose six days, so that He could later use that as a template for us to do the same thing:

[bible]Exodus 20:9-11[/bible]

So you are saying those thing don't exist because you can't explain them in a Biblical perspective? Here is a picture of the Deccan Traps. Is my textbook that calls them a large igneous province wrong?
Deccan.jpg

I doubt the Deccan Traps existed in Genesis 1.

Yeah, that's the kind of response I'd expect. Let me share my philosophy of religion: Religion is the worship of humanity, and humans have never worshipped anything other than themselves. In other words, humans are narcassists and religion is just their mirror.

Do you have any questions pertaining to either Genesis 1 or Genesis 6-9?

Those two areas are my forte.
