  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well feminism has worked in a lot of areas, girls and women can attend college, pursue their own goals, vote, make decisions about what kind of relationships we want, decide when we want to have children, decide if we want to be married or not, etc. It seems you don't like that. So you don't like the fact that women don't have to rely on men for support. Well women shouldn't have to rely on a man for sole support. And because there are people who still hold your view about gender roles only goes to show that feminism is having influence.

Response

Most discussions of religion are going to boil down to two questions.

1) Does God have a plan for all humans (men, women and children)?

2) Can humans come up with a better plan than God's plan?

I believe God's plan for women is that they rule the world by raising the children that will rule the world. If the women raise the children in accordance with God/Bible, life in the world will be good.

I believe God's plan for men is to rule the world as God and the Bible directs them and as their mothers taught them.

If attending college makes a woman better able to raise children, then going to college is good.

My observations are that women who attend college are in for a rough time. They are away from the protection of their parents and are easy pry to the men that would abuse them. The thing I do not understand is that I believe most mothers know what is going to happen. I have never understood women who want a fling with the "bad boy". Women have sex with men they would never even consider for marriage. I worry that women are worse off when they leave college than when they start. They can get a job and earn more money than men, but socially they are damaged.

I believe the Christian Family concept of a man, a woman and the children is the best possible situation for the man, the woman and the children. The man gets his sexual needs satisfies, the woman is take care of and can raise the children. Use to be an old saying, men trade love for sex and women trade sex for love. I believe God has the best plan.

When God separated woman from man, He made woman, love and man, righteousness. Neither in itself is perfect, but the joining of the two back together is close to perfection.

The fatal flaw of the feminist concept is that the children suffer. I don't think the women are satisfied in the feminist concept, but I am sure the children suffer and ultimately the nation will suffer.

If you read this to imply that the man is in control, that is not correct. The Bible says the man is to be led by Jesus as the woman is to be led by the man. A real man has to work hard to provide for his own.

I Corinthians 11:3 states, "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."

I Thimothy 5:8 states, "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."

Exodus 20:12 states, " Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."

Women can hold jobs, or they can be in schools making sure their children are the best education, or they can protest the pornography distribution of the local television station that destroys their children.

Women can do anything they want, but I believe it would be best for women to choose to follow the God's Christian Family concept as described in the Bible.

He saw beauty of decisions and freedom of individual and what truly becomes of it.
Jesus is good and we are not.

Jesus says, "decide"
not "subject"
So let everyone "decide"
And fight for justice, not false pride and reality.

HONORING GOD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS!

Our walk as Christians will determine what will happen, not our votes~!

Response

The walk of a Christian will determine their reward in heaven, but the vote of a Christian may determine if their children will ever get to heaven.

Atheism has a great influence in America today and how a Christian votes will determine if Atheism has greater or lesser control. If Atheism has greater control there will be more perversion presented in movies and television by the Atheistic Liberal News and Entertainment Industry. That perversion is intended to influence your children that the Atheistic Lifestyle is pure fun with no consequences. Why accept the restrictive lifestyle of the Christian when you can have the fun lifestyle of the Atheist?

Imposing Christianity as the "official religion" to insure that those who are weak in their faith won't fall victim to the evils of the Atheistic Lifestyle will not guarantee that one's children will get into heaven.

It's a person's individual choice on how they approach their faith. We don't need moral police to make our choices for us; it's between God and ourselves. Otherwise, we would be a theocracy.

Already added Clirus to my list titeled "People who dont get to complain about Radical Islams view on women". For reasons which are all to obvious.
People can now see how many moderate/liberal muslims feel about their extremists.

I always find it funny how conservatives will attack liberals in their own ranks, but embrace them abroad and the opposite with conservatives.

I believe the power of influence is very great. I believe Atheists understand that a lot better than Christians. Atheists know how to sell things by appealing to the base nature of humans.

Advertising is used to influence people to buy something they do not need nor will do all that it implies it will do. Television creates false images of what is good and what is evil. Children are especially prone to explore or follow these influences.

I never want to see anyone forced to make a decision, but right now I see a lot of propaganda for the Atheistic Lifestyle and not much said for the Christian Lifestyle.

I believe that if people are presented an honest unbiased presentation of the Atheistic Lifestyle and the Christian Lifestyle, they would choose the Christian Lifestyle and the Atheistic Lifestyle would fade back into the closet.

I believe Christians need to expose the disease, death and destruction of the Atheistic Lifestyle and the blessings of the Christian Lifestyle. That would be nothing less than telling the truth, and could lead someone to follow the Christian Lifestyle by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

First of all, most of the population in America professes to be Christian. They may not be your brand of Christian, but nevertheless they profess to be so. Atheists comprise a tiny, tiny minority of people, who don't control the media. Let's take a very powerful entertainment network called Fox News and News Corporation. They support Republican and rightwing politics (by your other posts, is the ideal party of Christians), and they also produce shows like Trading Spouses, MADTV, The Simpsons, and numerous violent series and specials.

Surely they can't be all Atheists producing that kind of television, and also supporting the saintly Commander Guy, our President.

You greatly underestimate Christians, their individuality, and rights to make their own choices in regards to their faith and their walk. Advertising is done by many different bodies of influence, be they corporations, churches, people, or government. It's up to us to discern what is right and wrong, not a government, nor a government-sponsored religion.

Not to step into anything, but this is why I always say "Liberals are open-minded about everything in the world --so long as they agree with it". If all these holy rollers who claim to be so enlightened and tolerant of things they vehemently disagree with then they would not be capable of condemning someone even if he has sunk to the very depths of cretiny (yes, I made that word up).

But, they are capable, proving that all the open-mindedness they preach is just pontificating and double-talk.

No, I will not point fingers at any specific person, except to say they do not think I am talking about them.

Au revoir.

Professing to being Christian and being a Christian by following God's commandments is two very separate issues. There have already been a lot of democrats that profess to be Christians, but the democratic party supports the Atheistic Lifestyle. One of the most hypocritical statement by a democrat is: I would not do that, but I would not object to others doing it. That is like saying: I would not pervert your children, but I would not mind someone else perverting your children. If it is wrong, it is wrong for all people.

I believe you greatly underestimate the number of people that are Atheists. Not many people openly call themselves Atheists, but there are a lot of people who are Atheists because the have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who do advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle.

I believe the News and Entertainment Industry is controlled by Atheists that support the democratic party. The only thing that Fox does that supports Republicans is to make a comparison on issues instead of an open hate for President Bush that the other news sources represent.

The Atheistic News and Entertainment Industry uses the concept of building yourself up by tearing others down as stated in my Cultural War statement.

There is a cultural war in America between Christians and Atheists. This war is being fought on the battlefield of politics. The battles are in the voting booth. The prize in the cultural war is the hearts, minds and souls of the children. The Atheistic liberal news media greatly influences both domestic and foreign policy by constantly reporting only bad news about Christians, conservatives and Republicans and only good news about atheists, liberals and democrats. The agenda of the Atheistic liberal news media is to promote extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, pornography, abortion, homosexuality and the Atheistic Lifestyle by having democrats in control of government.

I don't have time to present all the examples of ALNM propaganda against the Republicans, but I will direct you to my blog where I document how the ALNM attacks Republican and avoids democrats.

http://narj-clirus.blogspot.com/

Have you noticed there has not been a discussion of AIDS recently. The ALNM will not carry AIDS stories because that could hurt democrats that support homosexuality.

Two other stories that the ALNM would not discuss were Bill Clinton/ Monica Lewneski and Dan Rather. These stories where not made public by the ALNM, but rather by people on the web. After the story was started, the ALNM had to respond, but they would have left the issue hidden except for web people.

You are right that it is up to Christians to discern what is right and wrong, not a government, nor a government-sponsored religion, however a government can make laws and fund organizations that either advocate Christianity or advocate Atheism. The people that Christians elect will either favor Christianity or Atheism.

Some say they can be impartial, but I believe people either accept Jesus Christ or reject Jesus Christ. The middle ground belongs to the Atheists.

Flawed argument though. By this standard anyone who believes in Free Speech should not try to silence Nazis,Neo-Nazis,Communists,Radical Fantatics, Terrorist Propaganda, Pro- Pedophila(as long as they ofcourse dont actully practice it), Pro-Gay Rights, Pro-Transsexual Rights, Pro-Diversity, Anti-Nationalism, Anti-Gay Rights and so on.

It's one of the standard arguments by people who cant live with free speech and the fact that some people despit that they profes to Free Speech wont accept peoples Hate Mongering superstiteous or unfounded beliefs.

Liberals are open-minded about everything in the world --so long as they agree with it

"Personal Freedom is sacred as long as ones freedom does not infringe or remove someone elses freedom"

The Catch here is when trying to decided who's infringing on who's freedom. For an example with Gays they have shown that they are more then willing to accept Christiany, or atleast a non-fanatical branch(as proven by the large amount of christian gays) but Fanatic Chrisitians show no sign of willingness to accept gays freedom to be what they are. As such it's pretty safe to say that it is the Fanatics who's infringing on peoples rights as Gays do allow people to practice Christianity.

Another example would be this. Is it right of the Jews to try and infringe on Neo-Nazis right to gather and have political parties?

Or it could be like saying, "I do not preach hate towards a minority, but I support your right to do so." This would demonstrate an enlightened approach and uphold one of the founding principles of our country. Anything less and you start to have a fascist state. And while I realize that the fascist state is your ultimate goal, this perversion of our country's identity needs to be addressed whenever it arises.

I believe you greatly underestimate the number of people that are Atheists. Not many people openly call themselves Atheists, but there are a lot of people who are Atheists because the have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who do advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle.
So this would then make a Hindu an atheist. And a Jew. I would recommend a quick perusal of a dictionary so that you can learn what some of the words you use actually mean.

I believe the News and Entertainment Industry is controlled by Atheists that support the democratic party. The only thing that Fox does that supports Republicans is to make a comparison on issues instead of an open hate for President Bush that the other news sources represent.
Does the Atheistic News and Entertainment Industry own the black helicopters? I know, they were the gunmen on the grassy knoll, right? You give the media too much credit.

The Atheistic News and Entertainment Industry uses the concept of building yourself up by tearing others down as stated in my Cultural War statement.
Specific examples to illustrate what you are talking about, please?

There is a cultural war in America between Christians and Atheists. This war is being fought on the battlefield of politics. The battles are in the voting booth. The prize in the cultural war is the hearts, minds and souls of the children. And as a small government Libertarian, I'd rather have the Dems in power as opposed to someone who believes in even half of this tripe. You had 6 years of Republicans in control. What did they do to promote your agenda? When did they have the time between all the lies, bribes, and corruption? Or is fleecing your constituents a Christian virtue?http://narj-clirus.blogspot.com/
snip

Have you noticed there has not been a discussion of AIDS recently. The ALNM will not carry AIDS stories because that could hurt democrats that support homosexuality.
Or that few people want to hear about 'God's punishment afflicting teh gays' because is makes reasonable, rational people sick to their stomachs? Because stating that in a public arena is one small step from putting a white sheet on and burning a cross in someone's lawn?

You are right that it is up to Christians to discern what is right and wrong, not a government, nor a government-sponsored religion, however a government can make laws and fund organizations that either advocate Christianity or advocate Atheism. The people that Christians elect will either favor Christianity or Atheism.
False dichotomy. Everything cannot be divided into atheist or christian. Nor should it. But you advocate your visions being forced upon all of us. That is the antithesis of a Democracy and much more in line with Fascism.

Some say they can be impartial, but I believe people either accept Jesus Christ or reject Jesus Christ. The middle ground belongs to the Atheists.
And people that 'accept' JC in a different manner than you are Atheist as well? Or only after a group that you support gains power and puts all the real atheists into re-education camps. Then you can start to winnow out the 'false believers' in a purge. Read up on Soviet history for pointers. Take a long look at the chapters that involve Stalin...

Except that the results and consequences of both "lifestyles" are already well known. And using the people you refer to as "Christians" as an example, the "blessings of the Christian lifestyle" simply aren't all that appealing.

So, you want more "True Christians" (as determined by yourself, naturally) in charge.

I believe the News and Entertainment Industry is controlled by Atheists that support the democratic party. The only thing that Fox does that supports Republicans is to make a comparison on issues instead of an open hate for President Bush that the other news sources represent.

Then why not do it accurately?

The Atheistic News and Entertainment Industry uses the concept of building yourself up by tearing others down as stated in my Cultural War statement.

Funny, that seems to be what you've been doing to them.

Have you noticed there has not been a discussion of AIDS recently. The ALNM will not carry AIDS stories because that could hurt democrats that support homosexuality.

Could it be that anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the last two decades knows that AIDS is not a "homosexual disease"?

Two other stories that the ALNM would not discuss were Bill Clinton/ Monica Lewneski and Dan Rather. These stories where not made public by the ALNM, but rather by people on the web. After the story was started, the ALNM had to respond, but they would have left the issue hidden except for web people.

Old news, clirus -- and both these stories were well-covered by the Media -- ad nauseam, in fact.

You are right that it is up to Christians to discern what is right and wrong, not a government, nor a government-sponsored religion, however a government can make laws and fund organizations that either advocate Christianity or advocate Atheism. The people that Christians elect will either favor Christianity or Atheism.

And you want Christianity funded and advocated by the government.

Ben Franklin said:
When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not care to support it, so that its professors are obliged to call for the help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.

Ben Franklin -- Christian or Atheist lifestyle, clirus?

Some say they can be impartial, but I believe people either accept Jesus Christ or reject Jesus Christ. The middle ground belongs to the Atheists.

Then you had best accept that -- the Middle Ground is what our government strives to maintain

We didn't hear Senator Charles Schumer warn darkly of "theocrats" gaining political power when a Muslim was elected to Congress. We didn't hear that from him when Joe Lieberman, an Orthodox Jew, ran for Vice-President. We only heard that from Senator Schumer when Catholics were nominated to the Federal bench.
