  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Big Brother time again!

Like Bill's Wife, I liked Eric right up to the point that he shaved his head into a faux-hawk to match Nick's hair. His jealousy of Nick, and his attempt to be the "player" in the house, have gotten under my skin the last couple of shows.

I do think he got a raw deal being America's Player, and not really getting to play the game for himself, but I don't think I'll be heartbroken if he's voted out this week.

I do wonder if they will replace him with someone else, though.

If Eric does get evicted, I hope they make another houseguest America's Player, and if we get to vote on it, we should make Dick do it. That way he'll have to do what he's told.

THAT would be hilarious!

I think the big deal about the vote is that if Eric should have told them he was gonna vote to keep Nick because Daniele and Dick could have talked someone else into keeping Nick and he would have been able to stay... but it wouldn't have made sense since he was campaigning so hard to get rid of Nick in the first place.
Instead of America helping it has made it very bad for him.... I had a feeling this was gonna happen...I said it first you all!!!

I agree. Eric should have done his vote quietly or at least voiced his objections to voting Nick out. That way he could save face if caught red-handed like he has. At any rate, it is unfortunate that he's at our beck and call and it could hurt him. He's actually a fun guy and a good player.

That's a really raw deal for Eric. It's a real challenge that only a real die-hard BB fan player would want to do and be able to pull off. But the biggest problem is that so many things can happen so quickly in the house that completely change the game. The TV viewers would put in their votes based only on what they show us and on several days' old information. But things can change at the last minute. That puts a real strain on Eric. I'd hate to see him get evicted because the American public messes it up for him.

As for the banners, in the past, whenever a plane would fly over, BB would confine the players back into the house until the plan passes. But because everyone was outside for an extended period of time and can't leave, especially with players hanging upside looking up into the sky, they couldn't pause the competition.

I just hope Eric is shrewd enough to save himself out of this one.

Me too! The house wouldn't be the same without Eric since he's our guy and is playing such a unique roll.

And as far as last nights show I am just ready for Kail or Jen to go forget back dooring people.

I'm afraid you're hanging out there, Sweetlamb, because most of us kind of like the old codger. He makes the show very interesting.:D

I read on the feeds that they did pause the HoH comp for little bit(@20-30 minutes) because Jessica was complaining that she was in the groove and felt she could go alot longer , having to get down broke her concentration and when she got back up there it wasn't the same.

Sweetlamb, "he's emotionally abusive though and that just is not right"

That is so true...Dick is very emotionally and mentally abusive to the woman and the other houseguest. And when he poured the tea on Jen (Close to being physical abuse) he should have been kicked out of the house.

Take care and God bless u :)

Wow, that doesn't seem fair at all. Not much of an endurance challenge if you get down for a half hour!

I was thinking the same thing. Did they get down due to the banner or what was the reason??
yep...the banner, the plane...it wasn't like ppl haven't already read it...maybe they were making sure there weren't any more of them approaching.

LOL Bill'swife! Ya know, Dick is a bit overboard in some of his actions. But I do love the guy! I see a tenderness in him under all that 'hot air'! And how he went of on poor Eric and Eric can't say anything about being AmERICa's player...well, just doesn't seem fair. I know what is coming up tomorrow night in veto, but I won't say. We saw it on BB8 After Dark.

Sweet, you are right, it doesn't excuse his behavior. I agree. But I guess I see the potential, cause he is reaching out to make ammends with his daughter, and willing to work on the relationship. I guess I am just rooting for a good outcome for those 2.

Honestly, I am surprised someone hasn't done worse than dump a drink on Jen's head. I am sorry to say, but I think if I were there I would put her through a wall somewhere. I think Dick showed alot of restraint only doing that. Not that it was right.
