  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, how did Danielle take to Nick being evicted.
Well.... she voted for his eviction! :D

Honestly she didn't seem too broken up about it to me. There wasn't a lot of time between the eviction and the HOH challenge, but during the "eavesdropping" scene with Julie and Nick watching on the monitor, other than getting hugs from various people, she didn't seem too upset. In fact, she seemed to be consoling Amber (who was, of course, sobbing ) more than getting consolation from anyone for herself.

I love watching Evel - I hope he stays in the house for a long time. The best part about him is he's so brutually honest and doesn't hesitant to confront people on their deceptions. I looked at the Big Brother CBS website and he's voted the favorite player.
YAY!! Dick! I do like him. He needs some 'work' though...maybe God. But he is an atheist...ah well, there is hope for him.

Who watched?

Eric is so screwed.

And I don't know what Danielle is playing at, but this big plan she has isn't going to work if whoever wins POV keeps the nominations as they are!

Sure wish the spoiler tags would get fixed. :( Post Quotes to read if you're interested.

Honestly, after watching the last two episodes this weekend, I'm beginning to think that Amber is devious. She uses her constant bawling to gain sympathy make her look serious. I'm so disappointed in her.

As for the nominations, I think it was somewhat predictable. But I don't think that either Kail or Jen are her targets as she stated. She claims that (and I'm assuming it'll come down to the POV), she has other aims. I know that she and her dad are very ticked off at Eric believing he is the one who voted to keep Nick...and of course, they are right. But someone help me out here: why is that such a big deal? Why the fact that someone is voting opposite the house a problem? Nick was going home anyway because of the vote. So....I think Eric could be her target.

However, she did say that everyone would be shocked and their jaws would drop when she says who her alternate nominee is in the event the POV gets Kail or Jen off the block. Since the cat is already out of the bag regarding Eric and it is assumed that she would name him, what is the possibility that Danielle would actually name her father??? What would be more shocking than that? Ultimately, the house would have to get rid of him at somewhere along the line and Lord knows he's ticked everyone off at some point. Right now, he's dominating and controlling the game. On a positive note, ED and Danielle are on much better terms than the beginning. They can always finish their work on the outside.:)

if i remember right, it was a drinking game at the round table in the kitchen... and she made the deal with eric that if she lost she would wear it but was allowed to wear boxers over it.
I think the big deal about the vote is that if Eric should have told them he was gonna vote to keep Nick because Daniele and Dick could have talked someone else into keeping Nick and he would have been able to stay... but it wouldn't have made sense since he was campaigning so hard to get rid of Nick in the first place.
Instead of America helping it has made it very bad for him.... I had a feeling this was gonna happen...I said it first you all!!!

I think the big deal is they think he's in another alliance. Also, the second vote last week helped set up Nick. They're afraid the plan was to set up Danielle this week.

Does Eric have to vote with America? I thought it was just one of his tasks to get the $10,000 and it's up to him?

That's what I was wondering...he gets only gets money if said person is evicted, but he gets no vote? It is America's vote through Eric?

And who do you think flew the banner? Die hard Nick fans or personal friends or family of his?

Amber really is two faced...I can't believe she said she has never lied in there!!
And not JUST that she never lied, but that she is physically incapable of lying, that she opens her mouth to lie and the words just don't come out. Yet, somehow, she managed to tell Nick she didn't know his elimination was coming, and then admit later that she did. Come on!

From what I read, this is not the first year that someone has flown banners over the house. I wonder if it's a fan, or if the families are stepping in. My bet is a crazed (and rich) fan. :p

I thought he had the choice, and only had to complete the tasks if he wanted the money.

Obviously Eric gets no vote...just ours.
If he was gonna be playing for America then he should have layed low and be ready to take his orders instead of campaigning to get rid of Nick so hard! It would't be so bad for him if he could vote the way he wants to vote.

I think that's right. I've been trying to find some information on the rules, and it does sound like he gets no vote but ours.

According to CBS, one of the 14 houseguests has been chosen as "America's Player," and beginning with the show's second broadcast on Sunday, July 8 broadcast at 8PM ET/PT, each Big Brother 8 episode will end with the home viewing audience being asked to vote via text messaging or the Internet on an assignment that the as-of-yet still-unidentified "America's Player" houseguest will have to complete. The task could range from flirting with or voting out one of the other houseguests, but regardless, the "America's Player" houseguest must work in secret and at least make an attempt at completing the task asked of them. If the houseguest can successfully complete the task, they'll be monetarily rewarded.

Here's another.

Now, order 'Brother' around : CBS' "Big Brother" takes a dramatic concept shift this season as producers give viewers control over one house guest's most important decisions. "Your wish is his or her command," Allison Grodner, an executive producer on the hit CBS show, told the Daily News. "It's like being in the 'Big Brother' house from the comfort of your living room. 'America's Player' is a secret to the rest of the house guests, but he or she will be at the mercy of the viewers."

That's a really raw deal for Eric. It's a real challenge that only a real die-hard BB fan player would want to do and be able to pull off. But the biggest problem is that so many things can happen so quickly in the house that completely change the game. The TV viewers would put in their votes based only on what they show us and on several days' old information. But things can change at the last minute. That puts a real strain on Eric. I'd hate to see him get evicted because the American public messes it up for him.

As for the banners, in the past, whenever a plane would fly over, BB would confine the players back into the house until the plan passes. But because everyone was outside for an extended period of time and can't leave, especially with players hanging upside looking up into the sky, they couldn't pause the competition.

I just hope Eric is shrewd enough to save himself out of this one.
