Have you ever really considered this verse... what did Yeshua mean? It is in the sacred texts that the Jews hold dear.. the story of salvation.. which Yeshua was a large participant. So why did Yeshua say that the salvation is of the Jews... because.. So why is salvation of the Jews? because where else are you going to go to learn but from a good teacher. So why is it so important to learn the oracles of God that were given to the Jews?
I wish christians would stop trying to tie Jesus to our beliefs. He was a jew. He followed a great deal of the jewish law (Although his blatenent disregard for the bigger parts was partly why the Pharices wanted him dead). But thats as far is it goes. If I say it once, I have to say it a thousand times. Messiah means the annointed one, reffering to the practice of annointing kings and priests with oil. IT DOES NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM UNDER ANY THOUGHT PROCESS MEAN SAVIOR. The Torah states explicitly what the messiah must do to be the TRUE messiah. IT NO WHERE SAYS that the messiah will be the son of god or a demi god (Semi-Divine). It also states that if the one thought to be the messiah dies, then it was NOT the messiah. There were people that we jews thought was the messiah that came closer to fulfilling the precepts than Jesus. Now I in no way mean to disrespect Christians, and if I have offended any, I am sorry. But please please please be informed that We (the Jewish People) and you are COMPLETELY Different in belief. Also (take it or leave it) the messiah is to have come from David (Through Geneology must be directly decended from David). Christian theology states that Joeseph (Whom was a decendent of David) was NOT the father of Jesus, and that Jesus was Conceived Immaculately. Well Mary WAS NOT a decendent of David, but of Levi (The Man whom Moses was a decendant of). Thus by logic Jesus was not a decendant of David (Jewishness is traced through the mother). But again, you are entitled to your belief, I am merely stating please realize that we are HUGELY different, and dont try and convert us. How silly is that -_-

It is not we who tie Jesus to our beliefs. It is He who has made our beliefs what they are.

Messiah means anointed one. But the word "Savior" is to be found in Old Testament Hebrew, referring to the Messiah. For just one example, see Isaiah 19:20.

The Torah states explicitly what the messiah must do to be the TRUE messiah.
Does it now? I think the word "Messiah" is not in the Five Books of Moses at all. Where do you find it?

IT NO WHERE SAYS that the messiah will be the
son of god or a demi god (Semi-Divine).
There is no demigod in anything holy. And indeed, the Savior did bring forth the term 'only Son of God' as a new term for Savior and Messiah. But it is not contradictory.

It also states that if the one thought to be the messiah dies, then it was NOT the messiah.
I think you are confusing Talmud and later writings, dated 200 C.E. and afterwards, with Torah. Do you have a verse?

But please please please be informed that We (the Jewish People) and you are COMPLETELY Different in belief.
My flesh is Jewish also...but it is certainly untrue to allege that you and I are completely different in belief. There are, certainly, differences.

Also (take it or leave it) the messiah is to have come from David (Through Geneology must be directly decended from David). Christian theology states that Joeseph (Whom was a decendent of David) was NOT the father of Jesus, and that Jesus was Conceived Immaculately.
Legally, the Lord was born to Joseph and Mary as a descendant of David, because Joseph did not divorce Mary.

But again, you are entitled to your belief, I am merely stating please realize that we are HUGELY different, and dont try and convert us. How silly is that -_-
It is not at silly for me to bring the truth to you. The Lord has commanded it.

Again Torah also referes to the Tanakh as a whole (If you are in anyway learned you would know that Torah does not only refer to the Pentateuch). Secondly I will gladly search out the verses when I get off of work tonight. Secondly, Joseph WAS NOT the father of jesus, and Legaly or not, his blood does not flow through jesus's veins.

These are the passages we consider to be Messianic:
  • Isaiah 2, 11, 42; 59:20
  • Jeremiah 23, 30, 33; 48:47; 49:39
  • Ezekiel 38:16
  • Hosea 3:4-3:5
  • Micah 4
  • Zephaniah 3:9
  • Zechariah 14:9
  • Daniel 10:14
And as far as where is Messiah Mentioned in the Torah (Five Books Of Moses) Leviticus 4:3 is where it is. (Ha-Moshiach) Is used, and if you have jewish flesh as you claim, you would know that means The Messiah. Need More? (Exodus 40:9-11, and Numbers 6:15)

Also here is some things for you to read also:
1) He must be Jewish. (Deuteronomy 17:15, Numbers 24:17)
2) He must be a member of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10) and a direct male descendent of both King David (I Chronicles 17:11, Psalm 89:29-38, Jeremiah 33:17, II Samuel 7:12-16) and King Solomon. (I Chronicles 22:10, II Chronicles 7:18)
3) He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel. (Isaiah 27:12-13, Isaiah 11:12)
4) He must rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1)
5) He must bring world peace. (Isaiah 2:4, Isaiah 11:6, Micah 4:3) (And as far as I can tell there has been NO PEACE in the world at Jesus's Birth, nor Since then. The way Christian theology gets around this MAJOR flaw in belief is "He is going to come again...........thats when peace shall occur". I hate to say it but the Tanakh DOES NOT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM SAY THAT THE MESSIAH WILL DIE AND THEN COME BACK, as it is taught that if the one thought to be a Messiah (The Future King that will usher in the era of peace) dies or doesnt meet all the criteria then HE IS NOT THE MESSIAH. Again, I dont mean to denounce Christianity nor am I. I just am stating the facts. I feel the hate mail coming.
6) He must influence the entire world to acknowledge and serve one G-d. (Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5, Zephaniah 3:9)
And also read Ezekiel 37:24-28

God chose the jewish people to work out his salvation through them. Why would God need to chose "A" people. Isn't our God big enough to chose all people? And wouldnt' that make more sense:sigh:
The Jews' claim to be the Chosen People of God could partly explain the troubles that the've gotten into. In any case, you can forget about all that because the Old Testament is a joke of a scripture. Hardly anything in it has been archeologically verified. The whole thing is a putrid sick lie. The whole bible is a sick putrid lie.

At first God's chosen people were the Jews. NOw, God's Chosen people are those who answer the knock of Jesus at their door.
That is laughable when jesus was a jew. 144,000 jews will be saved during the end of days (Armagedon.....its in revalations). So yeah......not 144,000 Buddhists. Not 144,000 Christians. 144,000 Jews.

read the whole book of moses it will give you a lot more understanding why heres my understanding is that God wanted a set apart people that would worship him and obey his commandments. This is before Jesus but after Jesus now the whole world of God's people is part of that covident and we are set apart just like the Jewish people. In the books of Moses you will find that there was alot of flase religions and still our today see they could not be apart of them becuase they wanted to worship false Gods and they refused to Worship the God of Moses. So i hope this helps if you want a deeper understanding please write am in a deep study with the five books of moses so i would be happy to help you with any questions God Bless!!!

Yes, Jesus was a Jew. And his death and ressurection opened up the door to the Gentiles- who were called into the family of God.

The Jews were chosen so that in the end they would usher in the soon coming Messiah who would be the salvation of the World.

I love how you throw me and my people out of the equation. It reminds me of the Christians who say "We love the jewish people, but they are going to hell because they dont believe in jesus". Reminds me of the White Supremacists of yester year who said "We love the african americans........as long as they dont come on our lawns, and think the way we do". Its illogical. Its morally deficient!

Here's how I see it...God chose the Jewish people to prepare them for the Saviour, since He was born among them. God planned this event before the beginning of the world. Then, when Jesus died and rose again, all people became "the chosen people", because salvation is for everyone.

As being morally deficient? Or a christian who hates the jews? Obviously I am not referring to you as a white supremacist. Merely making a comparison between to hate mentalities.

It's is God's will that the Jews convert, like Paul said:

Ro 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Ro 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Ro 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Ro 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

there are, in case you don't know it thousands of Jewish people who recognize Yeshua (aka Jesus to you) as Messiah AND who obey Torah, just as Yeshua and all His disciples and apostles did. They are most widely known as Messianic Jews.

The 144,000 *may* be Messianic Jews, but they will certainly be easily recognizable as Jews which means they will also keep Torah.

as an aside: you would be **amazed** how many of the folks around you in your everyday world, at work, at church and at the grocery store, are Jews but are totally unrecognizable as Jews because they have become assimilated. And in most cases their children are lost to Judaism altogether because their parents forsook obedience to HaShem (aka G-d to you:) )

Scripture says .... [bible]zechariah 8:23[/bible] the word translated here is Kanaph: wing or corner and is the self same work used by G-d elsewhere to talk about the garment on which a Jewish person wears the tzitzit [bible]Numbers 15:38[/bible] - the tzitzit had a very special purpose as stated by HaShem [bible]numbers 15:39[/bible] - thus the people in Zec 8 are better translated as Jews on whom these others grab hold of their tallit (the garment used today on which the tzitzit are worn and which looks very much like wings when extended by the wearer) - the will be practicing Jews, believers or not.

Which is false. Messianic Jews arent Jews. If you believe Jesus is the messiah, you are a christian. Plain and simple.

And Jarrel, whos will? G-ds will? If christ was unequivocally the messiah, wouldnt the whole world be christians? Yeah, I will believe in Christ as the messiah, when I see world peace which hasnt happened in the 2000 years since his death. He wasnt the messiah, but you believe what you want, however flawed it may be.

People are given the free choice to accept Christ or to reject him. Jesus did not come to force everyone to believe but to offer them salvation, and peace and love and joy. Just because billions reject Jesus does not mean Jesus was not the Messiah, but it only means that billions have chosen to reject the messiah. Jesus fulfilled every Prophecy concerning his first coming, which no other man-god has ever fulfilled.

So what is the discussion here? If you have seen the Father(Yahweh) You have seen me. God provided redemption through His Son, Yeshua and chose the Jewish race to make this provision. He said they are His chosen people(if you believe the Word) and we as believers are grafted in the vine. He says He will use His people in the last days. if you have ever known a Messianic Jew, you know the understanding and fire they have. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. I just thank Him for provision and understanding. Amen
