He has blessed me in so many ways. I think of that passage of how He will do exceedingly abundantly far above what we ask or think. HE IS NOT ONLY ABLE BUT HE DOES BLESS US ABUNDANTLY!!!

I don't think I could meet someone online and trust who he was. I check out "men seeking women" on Craigslist sometimes just to see who's there. Most of the guys want some perfect little Barbie figure of a woman (even though they have a huge gut) and THAT alone makes me furious. I am not a big woman, but I wouldn't call myself petite either. Plus they can be anyone they want to be in that environment and that is scary. Being a single woman sucks for that reason. But I believe that God will bring someone into my life, if and when I am ready. Plus I also have high standards and most men I read about don't. I would rather meet a friend of a friend or someone I do business with, than find someone online. I just think it would be a rare find. It does happen, just not that often.

I did it again, but it worked well this time; no doors spiritually slammed, but I will say, I would not have it any other way. When I started giving God the green light to slam the inappropriate doors in my silly face, it was more apparent which ones if any, were still open.

And I found my guy for real.
He is what I was looking for in every way. I had not wanted to share here just yet until we met in person, but now it is a lifetime commitment between us and soon to be before God and the rest of the world.

I remain firm in my belief that we are to trust God no matter how He allows the meeting to arrive.

I sincerely believe GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYONE WE MEET NO MATTER WHERE WE MEET THEM.

It's up to us to make clear and wise decisions with the help of the Lord. We are held accountable for every word spoken and every deed done.

I sincerely pray for you, CoolMOM4. It is my heart's desire that God directs you every step of the way.

It has been my experience that if we ask the Lord to show us His will He will do just that if we are truly open to the answer. His sheep know His voice.

If any man lacks wisdom - let him ask of God. . .

I agree with ElElena. God will bring a person to YOU if that is his will for you. I am so happy for you CoolMom4 and I hope and pray that God's will, will be worked out in this relationship. I'm not opposed to any avenue available to us, I just personally would probably NOT chose the online way. But sometimes God will use exactly the way we oppose, so we know that it is from HIM and not our doing alone.

It's always nice when someone agrees with you. I liked reading that you believe GOD may use the opposite way we think HE would use. HIS WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN OURS!!! HE CAN DO WHAT HE WANTS.

I was going to say, because you wouldn't choose meeting someone on-line.....that's probably the way you will meet someone. God has a funny sense of humor!

I thought on-line would be the LAST way I would meet my hunny!!

It's nice and refreshing to see lighthearted acceptance with joy.

I think it would be great to meet the right Christian man in church on Sunday or Wednesday or whenever I'm there, right? The right Christian man would be sent to my church and he will walk right up to me knowing in his heart that God allowed us to meet. He will be bold enough to introduce himself and the list goes on...........

That can happen for with God all things are possible. I can tell you that it hasn't happened yet.

I look at the Scriptures and see how Naomi told Ruth to go to the threshing floor. God brought Eve to Adam after God formed her out of Adam's rib. God allowed David to get his first wife via a contest of some sort. And what about Abigail? Abby was asked by David to become another one of his wives when he was constantly in battle and right after she became a widow. Nabal (her first husband) Didn't appreciate David's protection, Abby had wise discernment and David ended up sending a servant to ask for her to marry him........ If I recall things properly.

We cannot limit God. We must not limit his power or His ways.

God can do anything.

What do you think about those apples? [just a phrase I heard as a child]

But see? That scenario is great, with the right guy walking up to you, etc.....but it's too easy.

i came across this thread being subscribed to the singles forums. Dating online is very hard. You only know what the person tells you, what you think they are, and vice versa. From my experience, even if dating online, it is very important to get to know the person in person. You know it is hard to test fruits online except I think you can pray and have others pray, and then see how the person prays and speaks of the Word. There are even people posing as pastors online that are not. On one singles site a guy told me he views other guys profiles in order to make his look better, which tells me that some people copy other profiles to deceive people. Never let emotions control or desires to get in the way. I don't just mean sin. Foundation needs to be good, and it is good to be thinking clearly. Otherwise somebody can get hurt easily.

May that continue. I seek out Christian friends that can help me laugh. Laughter really is good medicine. It is the best kind, too.
