Hello, I originally found the forum while doing an internet search for something else last weekend. The search took me to a prayer request and the outpouring of love & support blessed me so much that I joined CF immediately. The "Deeper Fellowship" forum only confirms that decision.

I have been a Christian for 10 years, but like so many others, I let life draw me away from the Lord. I recently began seeking him again about 3 weeks ago and as Ariel said he was waiting for me with open arms. It has been so wonderful to watch him move in my life.

Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

His peace and joy have replaced fear and anger. He has blessed me so much in such a short time that I can only praise him.

This is the message I posted when I first found this Deeper Fellowship forum:

Ahhh. This, this is what I was looking for when I joined CF. Can't think why I didn't visit this section before. . .

I don't want to discuss church practices or debate interpretations of Scripture (not that there's anything wrong with that)-- I just want to talk about Jesus with other people who love Him like I do.

So glad I found this. I'll be hanging around.

And now lately this forum has been invaded by all these new posts which seem designed to engender debate and discussion about things that have nothing to do with getting closer to God or our fellow Christians-- just "this is my interpretation of the Bible; follow it or there's something wrong with your Christianity."

I can't stand it.

Please, moderators, can you do something? I just want to talk about Jesus with other Christians. I thought I'd found a place here where I could do that. Now I don't feel like even here is a safe place where I can just come and be lifted up, and lift up others towards Him.

I want my "Deeper Fellowship" forum back.

Deeper fellowship with the Lord and with His body of which He is the head. This is a forum that has been here for a longer time than the month and a half that you have been here and at the time of your arrival it was in a "glorious state" of praise and worship. Just as with all revivals it goes thru it's ups and downs.
Humans make up for the body in unregenerated states. We all stand guilty in front of Him. He is in control and will bring about His will no matter what we fight and rant and rave about. God bbless you as we all wait on Him.

Praise God his mercy renews fresh each morning. Wordgazer, I'm a newbie also and I see absolutely nothing for you to apologize for.

Everyone comes to these forums for different reasons - some just like to debate for the fun of it, some have an agenda, some just like you who are searching for a deeper relationship with the Lord & other christians.

Whenever I find a thread that starts getting "intense", I just stop reading that thread and look for another that meets my needs. Perhaps you can start your own thread - i.e. "Lets glorify God - no arguments allowed". You will probably have a lot of people interested.
