  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who did Cain marry?

I am really trying to figure out the Bible from a Creationists point of view and there have always been many questions that puzzle me. Can a Creationist field this question for me:

If Adam and Eve were the only people on Earth, then who did their son Cain marry? Where did she come from? Where did the city come from (Nod)? How could there be a city if there were only three people on Earth at this time?

I am sure there is an explanation for this, as there is for everything. I would just like to know what it is.

Thanks!

Cain married a sister, or perhaps a niece.

Nod is the area Cain went to live, it wasn't a city. The city mentioned was founded by Cain.

Nowhere does it say there were only 3 people. Adam and Eve had more than 2 children, and the text does not say Cain and Abel were the only ones at the time Cain killed Abel.

Thanks, I actually did that one night...lol...funny stuff!!

I was here over a year ago under another name (which I can't remember the log-in info for anymore) and it seemed like every post I made the Mod's had to PM me for...it was very frustrating. Then one day I went to post at GA and it told me I had to have a 100 posts to post there anymore....I lost all patience and it took me a year to come back.

I have posted on several message boards in my life...and never once dealt with the strict rules they have here. I almost felt as if i was being picked on at one point. I am sure that was not the case...I was just not used to it here yet.

So here I am again giving it another try. Only been PM'd by a MOD once so far (and had my thread deleted lol).
Well, the GA restriction of 100 posts was to make it more difficult for trolls to post there. As we all know its simplicity itself to change your ip address to circumvent a ban, so this policy would stop a troll from coming back over and over again and thumbing thier noses at forum rules.

Strange that they don't do this for the Crevo forum.

Oh, that makes sense.
As I have said...this is the most strict board I have ever visited. But it's way better then some boards that I have been to that have next to no moderation. I have seen things get so out of control it was unbelievable (people threatening other peoples children etc.) sad thing is...these were Disney owned sites....yikes!!

Seems as if Incest is forbidden in the bible. But I have heard the argument that it was ok in Adam and Eve's childrens part because the blood line was still "pure".

Do you think that would still be the case with Noah's family?

Lev. 20:11-12, "If there is a man who lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death, their bloodguiltiness is upon them. 12 ‘If there is a man who lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed incest, their bloodguiltiness is upon them."
Lev. 20:19-21, "You shall also not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for such a one has made naked his blood relative; they shall bear their guilt. 20 ‘If there is a man who lies with his uncle’s wife he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they shall bear their sin. They shall die childless. 21 ‘If there is a man who takes his brother’s wife, it is abhorrent; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be childless."

What do you mean? Leviticus is at the time of Moses, not Noah.

Well, since I have heard the argument that incest was ok in Adam and Eve's time...because the blood lines were considered pure. I wondered in Noah's time (when they had to repopulate the earth after the flood) If the blood lines would be considered pure for them...since there would obviously be some incest going on there.

I get that verses were in Moses time...did'd God's feelings about incest not apply in Noah's time?

Did that make sense?
