  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, since I have heard the argument that incest was ok in Adam and Eve's time...because the blood lines were considered pure. I wondered in Noah's time (when they had to repopulate the earth after the flood) If the blood lines would be considered pure for them...since there would obviously be some incest going on there.

I get that verses were in Moses time...did'd God's feelings about incest not apply in Noah's time?

Did that make sense?
The bloodlines wouldn't have been AS pure as with Adam & Eve, but they hadn't degraded to the point yet where the incest law would have been necessary.

What is a "pure" "bloodline"?
I'm using the Vacuum's language, not my own.

I'm operating under the idea that he means the amount of mutations or malfunctioning genes (genetic diseases) that have crept into the human genome by that time.

And in fact, this ties in with one of AV's ideas - that Noah's ark was built in the northeast of America. Think about it. How far could the descendents of Adam and Eve have migrated until Noah's time? So, the garden of Eden must have been relatively nearby. I propose the garden of Eden was in Tennessee, and therefore, of course incest was OK.
