A song that always encourages me is "Rejoice in the Lord" by Ron Hamilton (aka Patch the Pirate
).
O Rejoice in the Lord
He makes no mistake
He knoweth the end of each path that i take
For when I am tried and purified
I shall come forth as gold
As for not believing in God, are you basing this solely off his seeming inaction? What alternative would you replace it with? (if you don't have one, there's no sense in it. Will you replace your belief in God with the plot-hole ridden atheist story of origins?)
Btw ANM29, I agree with you. It's hard for people that haven't had serious crises of faith to understand what it's like.

I must worship in spite of the storm. These waves are about to ship wreck me though, but the Lord is on board. Hallelujah!
At times like this though, you want to reach for something else. You think God must have left me for sure now, I have to search for another. But who? You know God is the only hope, but when your in a place so dark and cold you swear he does not exists anymore and you just want OUT and that is all you can think of.."GET ME OUTTA HERE" LOL!
