• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit...

WHOOOAAAAA!!!
Hold on there!!

I'm 25, but if you're looking to hitch me up, I don't think the young lady I'm currently courting would appreciate it all that much.

You know how women are about things like that. :o

Rats! Too young for Becky, anyway. :p

 Cut...It...Out

I have plenty of shoes. I just choose not to wear them.
They're EVIL!!!

Oh, brother, just like another guy here.

Hey, I don't fault him for that. I don't like wearing shoes, either. I kick mine off every chance I get (even in the pulpit!). ;)

That would be the guy!

^_^

We had our district youth convention in Racine, WI back in '03. The kids are always divided into different groups for different activities. Their group ID's might be shapes or books of the Bible or colors or something, and the kids with the same group ID (all the one's assigned to Genesis or squares or blue) would be a team for an event. At Racine the kids were given different colored doo rags to seperate them for one of the events. The host pastor wore his on his head the whole weekend, even during the Sunday morning worship at the church!
One of the pastors from New Jersey made up a song:
"Doo rag, oh doo rag, oh do remember me..." (I don't remember all of the words.) It was hilarious!!:p

Oh, and one of the guys from St. Louis and myself were going around imitating Ethel Merman. We started singing hymns as Ethel. Then on Sunday morning during the service, one of the hymns was "Lift High the Cross." Neither one of us could sing it with a straight face!!^_^ ^_^

One year during VBS the pastor had to do a hip-hop song so I told him that wearing a dewrag would make him look like a homey and make it more authentic.

He put it on and some people said he looked like a cabbage patch doll so he took it off.

I though it looked allright. :)

we warned the kids at the wels district rally in stl against doorags & acting "gangsta" (imagine 150 kids from minnesota, wisconsin, iowa & about 8 from missouri) -- they were trying to be cool with baggy pants & backwards/sideway caps, makign weird hand signs -- and they were going to union station (once known for gang activity) -- i told the head guys (from minnesota) they better warn the kids to act right or risk having something horrible happen!
