Someone, I think Jim, mentioned that these errors are caused by a hacker trying to get at the server. Guess that means that we're doing something right when the forces of chaos and evil are trying to shut us down!:preach: ;) :D

You know, we have had some good sucess in growing our Lutheran membership here in the last year. I hope this keeps growing. I on no way think of our forum as a church, but I do hope that in a very small way it serves our Lord in letting us teach the truth to the few that visit here. You guys are all awesome and I appreciate your posts in keeping us a big happy family, in spite of our doctrinal differences.

Hard to believe but SeaJoy's thread will soon split. The most sucessful ever conservative thread.

Lets all give SeaJoy a big cheer.

Yea, Seajoy! You rock! :D

She'll have to remodel her kitchen after this one closes!

I appreciate having friends to come here and complain to when I'm having problems on other boards. Everyone here understands me. Or at least they make me feel like they do LOL

I think it's too late for a call from the seminary this year. The call forms needed to be in in February. By now, most if not all sem candidates have calls. They won't find out where their call is until Call Day, though, which is a few weeks away yet.

Besides, it's always a good idea for a congregation to remain vacant for a while so the members can get over the seperation anxiety that always accompanies a pastor taking a call. Too short of a vacancy can be trouble for the new pastor (personal experience speaking here).
I hope all goes well but whatever happens or whoever they call, some probably won't be happy anyway.

remodel, but KEEP THE NAME!
I thought about "The Confessional Kitchen" but I was afraid there might be too many lurkers thinking there is more to it than what we intended! :)

So I think Becky is right...keep it the same...folks seem to like to come here and chat. I really enjoy that. I love you guys!

This has been a fun thread where we can take a break from the things that happen in our real lives and in our on line lives. So we are looking at a Part 2 soon.

My wonderful DH won $1,000 in travel through our wireless company. After checking into one idea and deciding we did not want to add that much to a vacation, we settled on central Florida. Will take the youngest with us (he graduates high school on mother's day). We will make Orlando our base. I have two cousins who I have not seen in years (about 50 actually) who have both moved back to central Florida where they were raised. We will see them as well as visit the space center. Hubby wants to go to Busch Gardens and I want to go Epcot. Any other touristy stuff will be decided on while there.

Hubby and I took our wedding trip there and son was there 3 years ago for NYG. (they went to Disney then)

So the three of us are flying to Orlando, renting a car and have our hotel reserved. Should be a good week and we are leaving after Memorial Day for a week.

Florida is beautiful. The mosquitos can be a problem though. They seem to range from microscopic to the size of hummingbirds. The geckos in the shower creeped me out. Try as she would, my sister just couldn't keep them out.

Who you yelling at Becky! :D

*she's usually so mild manored, and quiet*

hehehe

i am just tired of the "let's vote so we can change the name" for everything we try and do fellowship wise here....why?? there is no point! keeping the name the same keeps it clear for people who may lurk, or go on a trip & not visit here for awhile, etc

I keep trying to escape California, but it always comes to naught. Now... well, the Lord knows what he's doing.:crossrc:

Yes, there should be a lot of mosquitos there in Minnesota. Isn't Minesota called the land of a thousand lakes? Or is that Wisconsin? No... Wisconsin is Land O' Lakes, isn't it? Or is that just the butter...

I haven't been able to go somewhere on vacation for nearly thirty-five years. Then not even out of the So. Cal. area. The last seven months of unemployment have been the closest to a vacation I've had in many, many years.:)

What are the maximum? Is it pages or posts? 'course it's so many posts per page, I'm sure. So maybe 99 or 100 pages?

Hey, Seajoy, how about, "Think I'll sit down here for a bit, again...";)

The maximum posts for any thread is 1002 posts. Then it automatically closes and is started up again under the same name with a (2) next to it.

Hey, Seajoy, how about, "Think I'll sit down here for a bit, again...";)

...or "Think I'll sit down here for a bit longer." ;) ^_^

I'm glad folks are enjoying the thread. I feel like I have a second family here. We share our happy's and our sad's, we pray for each other, and laugh together...sometimes we cry together, as we carry each others burdens. I for one, feel blessed to be here. I know I may never meet any of you in this world, but we have the assurance that we will meet one day in the next world.
Thanks Jesus, for all my buddies. :groupray:

Yes, I think we should keep the same name too.
