I am not yet a christian, but I want to be saved, I just have never seen anyone be saved before, and I am not sure what to do, When the invitation is open? What do I do just walk up to the preacher, but what all will the preacher do to save me? Please Help!! I love God, and I am ready to trust him!!

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

this is a reply that i gave to someone about salvation, lol im too lazy to write this again so i just copied and pasted it:
We all sin, so we must all be punished for sin. but Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, He took our punishment for sin so that we wouldn't have to be punished for it in Hell. so if we recieve His sacrifice for us, we have no punishment and we can go to Heaven, because Jesus already took that punishment. to recieve His sacrifice is simple. you have to have faith that He died for your sins and that He is the only way to Heaven, and that He rose after He died (resurected.) the bibles definition of faith is beleiving and acting on that belief, so for example, if i asked God to heal my leg, i first BELIEVE that He healed my leg, then i ACT on that believe by standing up. so believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and He is the only way to Heaven and He rose after He died, and act on that belief by confessing it in prayer. so heres a way you can do it:
"God i believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. I believe that He is the only way to Heaven and He rose after He died. please forgive me of my sins and give me eternal life. in Jesus' Name amen"
2 corinthians 6:2 says that we need to do this now, it says now is the right time to be saved from sin. so do it now

Hello friend, i am a pastor, but let me tell you, there is no pastor needed for this event!!!!!
Jesus is with you right now waiting as he has your whole life to accept you!!!!
Just ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life and guide you in the path that He has for you!-And he will!!!!! It's a promise!
There are no special words or any certain person that you have to go to, just go into a quiet place alone and pray to Him with ALL your heart and while you are praying.....think about the fact that He is there!!! He has already forgiven you as soon as you ask!
It is very important that you get a new testament and read it everday! If you need help i am always available!

Ok, Thanks for everyones help, I understand there is no pastor needed, I'm still going to wonder how a pastor saves someone..I want a pastor to help me get saved, and like I said before I wont know what to do, when I get there? What does a pastor usually do when he saves someone?

A pastor cannot save you sweetheart but if you feel better then maybe you can go to a church and ask a pastor to help you.
Only Jesus can save you. Just ask Him right now to come into your heart and He will. If you would like me to help you, I will.

When you walk down that aisle, the person that you talk to will walk you through the steps that the previous posters have spoken of.
They may ask you some questions...
They certainly will explain things to you.
It will not be a test time.
If you want Jesus...
If you want to be forgiven of your sin...
If you want a new life....
That's all it takes.
Know this: When you do go forward....
there will be so many at the church who will have their hearts filled with incredible joy and thus, tears.
We pray for people like you.
We are so blessed to be able to witness someone who comes forward to start a new life with Jesus.

I got saved this morning! I found Gods grace!! Thank you so much! It was a wonderful feeling and I know he is right here with me, even though he was the whole time, I can truely feel him now!! Thanks to everyone that helped!!
