For those hear that believe the earth is old. For you does this equate to believing that we evolved from apes and that Adam and Even are a myth?

Like I said, by the RCC standards. But by Gods I am Christian and nothing more.
Thanks for side stepping my question.
i got that, and understand that, but you get my point, we have had men in space, who have seen the round planet, that is proof enough.I'm only trying to point out that your comment was not a "proof" even in a laissez faire sense of the word.
Not at all. I fully believe in Adam and Eve being Created by God. But why does that mean that the Earth must be young? The following is what I wrote a few posts back.
"The reason I bring this poll up is because some people close to me are evangelicals (yes, I keep praying that someday they will find the full truth in the Catholic Church). But that's a separate issue. They believe and listen to stuff that claims if one is a creationist, you must believe in a young earth. The old earth people are evolutionists. Sure evolutionists will hold to an old earth belief, but what really gets me is the insistance that one cannot be a creationist and believe in an earth that is millions or billions of years old. "

no number is exact.i got that, and understand that, but you get my point, we have had men in space, who have seen the round planet, that is proof enough.
basing a fact on a number they pulled out of current statistics or rates, which are not exact but averages rather, doesnt do it for me. Its a guess not a fact, and if science really is all about guesses, how can it be correct.
What is a guess?
its not a fact.
What church did I leave ?By any definition if one leaves the Church one is a protestant. Protestant is a form of the word "protest".
Protestantism began during the Renaissance as a protest against the established (Roman Catholic) church.
- A formal declaration of disapproval or objection issued by a concerned person, group, or organization.
- An individual or collective gesture or display of disapproval.
You can call yourself a Christian if you want, that's fine. But in technical terms you are a protestant Christian, just as I am and thankfully a Catholic Christian.
I am not saying the two are related. I was just trying to get an better understanding of the positions here. In another thread it appeared to me that each person that believed in an old earth calimed to be creatonist but in the sense that God used evolution and the Adam and Eve were just stories. So I am trying to gauge all of the different thought processes on this.
What church did I leave ?
and when was I a member of the church that I Left ?
division division, we are christians brothers in christ, we do not have to divide ourselves with denominationsBy any definition if one leaves the Church one is a protestant. Protestant is a form of the word "protest".

Or a simple explanation given by God to a people that wouldn't understand if given the full explanation.I guess those questions could be brought up in a separate thread. Especially whether or not Adam and Eve were real people created by God as told in Genesis or if they were just stories to attempt to explain how things happened.
I'm sorry, you said "By any definition if one leaves the Church one is a protestant. "There is no point of continuing this with you. It won't get anywhere. Besides, this is off topic.
BTW, this from answers.com "A (protestant is a) Christian belonging to one of the three great divisions of Christianity (the other two are the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church)."

Why does it matter--from a biblical standpoint?
