I am terribly sorry to hijack your thread again, but it is the only one I can post in.

After a very long Bible Study last night, I came to the conclusion that the Holy Spirit:

1 Corinthians 2:10 - has intellect.

1 Corinthians 2:11 - has a mind.

Ephesians 4:30 - can be grieved.

Acts 16:6 - has a will.

Acts 5:3 - can be lied to.

My main "beef" (make that tofu) with the Trinity is/was the personality of the Spirit (though I suggested in GT that Jesus is not God, that obviously contradicts Scripture).

I recant of my non-Trinitarian view, as little time as I held it.

It's good to see you've come to see the truth through Bible study. That just shows how important daily devotionals are. I thought it is hard to change you faith icon. Because you just changed it and , I would assume you're going to change it back.

We could sticky this and make it our general discussion thread. I've always thought just a general discussion thread would be good, and that's the way this thread is going. Can you change the name of threads, so that if you did sticky it, it could be named GENERAL DISCUSSION or something.

The forums quite busy this morning. I thought I'd raise this point in here. Quite often I can't reach CF because of database being down and sometimes like this morning, everything works really slow. I'm wondering if anyone else experiences that.

yup.

It happens occassionally. Erwin will be contacted by staff and work out the issue. It could be anything from a down server to problems with their hosting company, etc.

What about calling it something that gets across the idea of fellowship? That's the kind of thread this is. Then it would be clear that it is open to everyone but not for debating about theological issues or whatever.

Some of the other congregational forums have fellowship stickies; they usually have names that have something to do with food: "The Potluck" (Baptists), "Covered-dish Dinner" (Wesley's Parish), "Dining Hall" (Reformed), "Uncle Hiram's Deli" (Messianic Judaism), etc. If anyone has any creative names, feel free to suggest them.
