Holocaust a myth/inaccurate???

i just had a very interesting debate on another site with a guy who believes the holocaust was exaggerated to a great extent. anyone here who would like to oppose or propose that pont of view?

When US forces invaded Germany, we made their citizens look at the concentration camps. Our soldiers rounded up German citizens, and walked them through the camps. They did this so that the Germans couldn't deny what happened.
There is footage of this taking place, and it ain't pretty(actual footage of skinny, dying, Jews).

I've been to Auschwitz, seen the evidence, stood in the gas chamber where many prisoners were murdered, stood next to the wall where thousands were shot. I've seen the piles of human hair cut off of the prisoners, the piles of clothing and baggage belonging to prisoners, the shoes and clothing belonging to little children that were murdered. Thousands of photographs of Polish inmates that were murdered. The NAZIs kept meticulous records of everything they did. KL Auschwitz II-Birkenau is incredibly massive, and even there, 90% of the prisoners that came into the camp on each train load went immediately to the gas chambers. The Holocaust was no myth. We know to a great extent how many people were murdered by the size and numbers of the camps, the camp records, testimony of survivors, etc.

I have heard of the Worldwide Jewish Conspiracy. I even read Vitals by Greg Bear(TRIPE!!!)dedicated to the same "conspiracy", which was apparently started by a pre-WW2 pamphlet in France. This pamphlet is said to have been written AS A JOKE. So don't take the conspiracy theorists seriously, please.Their ideas are based on a joke.

Enough of that.Well, all in all, if you look at documentation giving numbers of casualties, it is a big number. But not nearly as disturbing as watching the footage shown to the Nuremberg defendants.THAT is bound to rattle you.

Th so-called "holocaust-deniers" don't actually deny the camps existed, just what went on in them. They say there was no systematic massacre i.e. no gas chambers, and that those who died died due to various plagues (especially Typhus) and food and medical shortages toward the wars end(politcial prisoners aren;t exactly a high priority when supplies run low). They think several hundred thousand to around a million a more likley number of dead than the usual 10 million or so.

I think the Holocaust is just the opposite of exaggerated in the sense that I have found many people are unaware that it was not only Jews tortured and killed but also Slavs, handicapped persons, gay people, black people, atheists, etc.

One of the reporters on the scene when Allied troops entered Auschwitz, Miriam Beck, later lived in the same county I live in now, Highlands County, Florida. Yes, it happened.

The evidence is quite massive. I know that at one of the death camps, among other things the Nazis kept the ID cards of every person who died there and even displayed many of them in an exhibit.

The figure for the number of dead given at the Nuremberg trials is the same figure accepted by historians today. It has not changed.

There are yearbooks from Jewish High Schools in Europe just before the war where not a single person in the pictures was found alive afterwards.

The Revisionists, or whatever you call them, use absurd arguments to argue that it did not happen. They have argued that there were no locks on the doors for the gas chambers. I personally have no idea how the doors to the gas chamber were kept shut but the point is that the absence of a lock doesn't prove a thing. There is ample evidence that people died.

yeah exonoesis, we've been waiting for you. do you know that there is simply too much evidence to say it's made up. there are too many people who lived through it and too many records. i don't know if it was in this thread or on another website that someone said the allies actually made the Germans walk through the concentration camps so they couldn't deny it later.

just as an after thought... why would someone make somethign up like this? or no, not just someone, but whole governments?

That's also why Eisenhower filmed the opening of some of the camps, so it couldn't be denied later. Proof is there and until you've seen all the death camps and the items made of human skin that are in our National Archives, located at:

In case you're interested in visiting it and proving the truth to yourself. But you won't because it's so much easier to take someone else's word for it.
