Workout Music

[California Dreamin']

I am always looking for new songs to put on my iPod and I'm just starting to work out (seriously) and just wondering what songs some people like at the gym!

I like to play fast music so i can move with the music while im working out. The music really motivates me to keep going and not to stop. Working out to slow music is a totall turnoff, lols.

Give us a general idea to what you like to listen to when your heart is skipping. ??

I like listening to:

-'It just wont do' By Tim Delux.
-'Call on me' By Eric Prydz
-'My number one' By Helena Paparziou.

These are my top 3 fav's to listen to while im working out.

I love Kutless, Lifehouse, Skillet, TobyMac, DC Talk....anything upbeat, alternative Christian. Lifehouse isn't totally upbeat, but I like the sound. I will listen to it during weightlifting, but typically not during cardio.

I went to the Christian book store and bought a cd with all of the favorate songs of the year... one cd is hip hop, I like to run to the beats hip hop.

I like hard stuff, that usually gets me pretty pumped in the gym while working out. As Cities Burn, Haste The Day, System of A Down, As I Lay Dying, Ice Cube, Blindside....just about anything like that does the trick for me.

I like high energy music like rock and Pop. Usually not american pop, but pop from other countries that's all high speed and has lots of electronic sounds. When I'm being energetic, I want my music to reflect that. What kind of music do you like when you're exercising?

I like hard stuff, that usually gets me pretty pumped in the gym while working out. As Cities Burn, Haste The Day, System of A Down, As I Lay Dying, Ice Cube, Blindside....just about anything like that does the trick for me.

when i'm working out ... or commuting on my bike in cold weather (typically anything below freezing), I mostly like to listen to worship music. Either that or ....... gaaah ... i can't believe i'm admitting this ... just some alternative christian music on local christian station.

christian music isn't as horrible to me as everybody seems to think it is. I like a lot of the stuff that comes on our local christian station here. I don't do that anymore since I DDR for exercise and the music is provided, but when I walk or jog or something, it's cool .

I like metal/industrial and some techno/electronica thrown in for good measure. Anything with a hard, aggressive, driving beat. Crystal Method (electronic/alternative rk) has some good tunes. I like them for cardio work.

I have a cd by Jeff Deyo a Christian singer who sings upbeat worship stuff. It works real good for doing the stepper.

then i go to sometimes, not all the time, madonna.. i also have a collection of disturbed.
michael w smith's older music is a good one too... it makes the exercises fly by...


for cool downs, i like kathy again...
