Trump is getting scared. He's resorting to his fall back plan: sowing doubt in the election process. Shocking.

“It’s so crazy, that my poll numbers go up. Whoever heard you get indicted for interfering with a presidential election, where you have every right to do it, you get indicted, and your poll numbers go up. When people get indicted your poll numbers go down,” Trump said in an interview on Fox News’s “Life, Liberty and Levin.”

“Well, this is the worst case of election interference that anyone’s ever seen, certainly in our country,” Trump said during the Fox News interview. “They do this in Third World countries, they have some of it in South America, they don’t do it a lot, believe it or not. But they do it.”

I saw this and was honestly surprised.


He literally fled the scene as if the reporter told him there's a sniper on the roof with a rifle pointed at him.

For context, Walz was at a state fair (I think) being asked hard hitting questions like "How about this weather we're having?" and "What's your favorite color?" before a reporter asks him something and he flees the scene so quickly you'd think he was told he's been selected to fight overseas for his country.

The question wasn't exactly that difficult. It was asking him what he thought of the 6 hostages who died in Gaza recently?

Now, he could have done the political thing....he could have said he didn't have all the information at the time and would get back to the reporter once he did. He could have given just some blanket condemnation of terrorism. He could have said how he really felt and chosen a side on one of the many issues dividing the left because it appeals to various tribes that don't genuinely share values.

I thought tales of this man's cowardice were overblown.

Apparently not.

I bet you think this could never happen to you.

C. S. Lewis, in a book written over 80 years ago — The Screwtape Letters — talked about the dangers of letting politics become your religion. Lewis put the following words in the mouth of his professorial devil-uncle who was instructing a nephew on one way to wreck his human target:

“Let [your patient] begin by treating … Patriotism or Pacifism as part of his religion. Then let him, under the influence of partisan spirit, come to regard it as the most important part. Then quietly and gradually nurse him on to the stage at which the religion becomes merely part of the ‘cause,’ in which Christianity is valued chiefly because of the excellent arguments it can produce.”

Think that could ever be you one day? Or even today?

I hope not because you’ll be miserable when it occurs. But sadly, at least on the surface, it seems to be happening a lot right now.

Too many professing Christians on both sides of the political aisle seem to be convinced that they’re in the midst of a human life-and-death, global-existential battle, and if the other side (God forbid!) wins, the result will be certain cataclysmic destruction on a national level. Sovereignty of God be, um, “darned.”

Is Sunday Law Coming?

Blue Laws

Encyclopedia Britannica records that blue laws were enacted to encourage Sabbath observance—but on Sunday. Sunday isn't the Sabbath. It never has been.

In the United States blue laws are still being enforced. My home state of Ohio restricts the sale of certain items on Sundays, like alcohol. It has been that way since I can remember (in my lifetime of 53 years so far).


The Pandemic

During the pandemic some countries enacted Sunday rest mandates and curfews. Some of which may still be in place. The mandates that were implemented during this time shows us how quickly things can change.


Project 2025

Full disclosure, I consider myself to be a conservative. As a former actively political conservative, I would've gotten behind organized party action to forward conservatism. As a Seventh-day Adventist and a Bible believing Christian, I can't get behind the implementation of a so-called Sabbath day of rest—on Sunday, no less.

What's the problem?

• They've already made it clear that it will be exclusionary to seventh-day Sabbath keepers.
• They're essentially looking to mandate a day of rest.

Laudato Si

In Laudato Si, Pope Francis calls for a Sunday rest over the Sabbath, and associates it with the common good and the climate.

Should Christians Be Concerned?

Naturally, seventh-day Sabbath keeping Christians are concerned, but should Sunday keep Christians be concerned?

In my mind I imagine the average Christian looks at all of these things as beneficial to the Christian; i.e. not a problem at all. After all, most Christians embrace Sunday, so why not be in support of it?

In the least, the mandating of a day of rest enjoins church and state. What happens when church and state unite? Persecution and death. That should scare any Christian.

Will these initiatives, pushing for Sunday rest, become Sunday law?

Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning on what she characterizes as a record of a tough former prosecutor. But a White House office she has "overseen" may have focused less on gun crimes and more on targeting a legal gun manufacturer.

"The American people should be very concerned that, rather than prosecuting criminals, the Biden-Harris White House is colluding with anti-Second Amendment groups, and rather than responding to serious congressional requests with transparency, the White House is choosing to not comply with our request," Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., told Fox News Digital.

Why did Satan divert from God and start a rebellion?

Pride. He thought he could oppose God by open force and be successful somehow. Many other angels joined his course.

When did he find out his ultimate end?

Isaiah was a bit ambiguous. Jesus said it more clearly in Matthew 25:

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.' "

Why would Satan knowingly lead himself to his own demise?

Once he had started the rebellion, there was no remedy. He cannot repent and be forgiven. Perhaps he is hoping that when the end comes, God would just mercifully annihilate him. In any case, God is using him to test everyone.

I received a 2020 NASB in today's mail, people have said that it uses gender inclusive language and that appears to be upsetting to some readers who express a strong preference for the 1995 edition or for the LSG (Legacy Standard Bible). However, the LGS uses Yahweh in the Old Testament instead of "the LORD" and that causes some difficulty in reading aloud and, of course, some people do not like it. Since I have barely had time to unstick the pages I am wondering if any of you have used the 2020 NASB for a while and what you think of it?

Started August 22nd. Lots of statements rated false and mostly false.

The ”them” being referred to here are the same as those talked about in chapter 9 of Romans. They are the Jews, the Israelites of the Old Covenant. Most all of them (the majority) still have not believed in Jesus Christ. According to “Wikipedia,” less than 2% of the Israeli population claim to be Christians and about 20% do not believe in a deity. And according to “The Times of Israel,” over half of them do not even practice traditional Jewish religion but identify as secular (non-religious). Many are atheists.

So, even 2000+ years after the birth of Christ, not many Jews have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and as Savior of their lives. And so this is still an issue of great concern that not many who are Jews by natural birth have believed in their Messiah (the Christ), Jesus of Nazareth. But it isn’t just the Jews we should be concerned about, for, even though in America a high percentage claim Christianity as their religion of choice, not many are literally following Jesus Christ with their lives in obedience to his commands.

So, my heart’s desire is for all people to be saved, although I know that not all people will be saved. But particularly I am concerned for all who profess the name of Jesus but who have not literally been crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, and who are no longer living as slaves to sin, but who are living as slaves to God and to his righteousness. Not many are walking in obedience to the Lord in daily living in self-denial and in holy living. Many are still very fleshly and worldly.

So, in a sense, my concern parallels Paul’s concern, for he was and I am concerned for all who make professions of “zeal for God,” but who are living in ignorance of the righteousness of God in that they are seeking to establish their own version of godliness which does not submit to God’s righteousness. For many professing Christians today are making claims of faith in Jesus Christ, convinced all their sins are forgiven, and that heaven is guaranteed them when they die, but while they still live for the pleasures of the flesh.

Now, in the case of the Jews, the majority of them were trying to earn their salvation via following the Old Covenant liturgical, ceremonial, sacrificial, purification, and dietary laws and restrictions, including the requirement for circumcision. And they did not accept Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, and so they had not died with him to sin and they were not living to him and to his righteousness. They were just going through the motions of religious practice, but their hearts were not surrendered to Christ as Lord.

And in the case of so many people today who claim to be Christians, many of them are believing in a gospel message which does not require that they die with Christ to sin and that they now walk in obedience to his commands in holy living. Many are teaching, in fact, that we do not have to repent of our sins and we do not have to obey God, but we are saved by giving lip service to the Lord, while nothing else is required of us. But they say that God does everything for us, but while they can continue living in sinful practices.

And even if some people are teaching the importance of repentance, often it just means a confession that they are a sinner in need of a Savior but it is not about literally dying to sin daily, by the Spirit. Or if they teach obedience to the Lord, they do not teach it as part of believing faith which is required for salvation and for eternal life with God. For they teach that we should repent and that we should obey the Lord, but they do not teach the consequences of non-obedience and of continuing in deliberate sin.

But we are not saved from our sins and on our way to heaven if we have not died with Christ to sin, and if we have not been raised with him to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And we do not have salvation from sin and eternal life with God if we do not deny self, die to sin daily, by the Spirit, and if we do not walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in practice, and if we continue in deliberate and habitual sin against our Lord Jesus.

So my deep concern is for all the “religious” of this world who think that they can follow after whatever religion or whatever version of Christianity that they want, that serves their purposes, but whose lives and hearts are not surrendered to Jesus Christ to obey his commands and to live holy lives, pleasing to the Lord, in the power of God. They are still in bondage to sin and they are walking in sin’s darkness, and so they still need to be delivered from their addictions to sin and now follow Jesus in obedience to his ways.

Jesus spoke to the antagonistic Jews in (NIV) John 10:

32 Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

These Jews thought Jesus claimed to be God. Jesus did not say, "I am not God."

34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods” ’ ? 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? The Son of God was God. It was a divine mystery.

Jesus walked on water in Matt 14:

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

The disciples began to see that the Son of God was God. They did not say, "Truly you are God".

Did the disciples know that Jesus was God before his resurrection?

It was a divine mystery. Because of that, they were somewhat ambiguous about it. After the resurrection, John 20:

27 [Jesus] said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

The apostles became increasingly assertive that Jesus was God. Jesus was a man, the Son of God, and God. It was a divine mystery.

Hydrated lime can be used to store eggs without refrigeration. If this is the first that you have heard of this; I would strongly recommend that you fully understand how to do it, before you attempt it.

Last week I bought a 50 pound bag of hydrated lime, a vacuum sealer, and some paper lunch bags.

I did some more research on water glassing eggs, and was advised that using a 3 gallon bucket for storage makes it easier to gather the eggs on the bottom for use first. FIFO. A 3 gallon bucket will hold up to 80 eggs.

Sources told me that 5 quarts of hydrated lime solution will be sufficient to cover a 3 gallon bucket full of eggs.

I also did some research on the shelf life of hydrated lime. As I suspected, like concrete, it doesn't last all that long when exposed to humidity; so I thought out a practical way to store it for long term use.

I started by writing the following on each paper lunch bag:

HYDRATED LIME
5 OZ BY WEIGHT
MIX WITH 5 QTS WATER
FOR 3 GAL BUCKET

I didn't want to take any chance that I would forget those ratios over the years, should the internet be down for any reason.

I then weighed out 5 OZ
.
I then transferred that to a measuring cup. For the product that I purchased, it worked out 1-1/4 Cups.
I then put the powder in the lunch bags, and neatly rolled them up; so the the text that I had written on them was all visible.

I found that it was useful to wear a mask during this process, as I found that was was inhaling some of the dust that was being stirred up with all of the motion. Hydrated lime is caustic; so I could have worn gloves too. I just rinsed and dried my hands from time to time. I'm not worried about getting a little bit of wet concrete on me; but extended exposure can cause severe chemical burns. I kept my my fingers away from my eyes; but eye protection might not have been a bad idea either; but I'm not all that cautious.

The paper bags will help protect the hydrated lime from light; but more importantly it will help to prevent the fluffy powder from being drawn into the vacuum sealer, which would cause damage to the machine.

I bought two 8 inch X 20 foot rolls of the vacuum bag plastic. The full, rolled, lunch bags fit the 8 inch dimension very nicely. With a little bit of experimentation, I found that an overall bag length (before sealing) of 7-1/4 inches worked nicely. This will yield 66 bags of finished product. I started my bag cutting process by marking my first 7-1/4 inch bag as a template. Through transference I didn't want my measurement to deviate. I then took that bag and aligned it with the edge of the remaining roll. I marked the roll with a felt tipped marker, and made my cut with a paper cutter, for a nice clean, square, edge. Then I repeated that process, being sure to work off of my template each time.

Excluding the cost of the vacuum I managed to put these bags together for under $1 a piece. We will see over the years how well this method works. I'll try to remember to post an update from time to time.

Not sure where to put this. I have someone i know that is into this healing. I feel like they are constantly doing things to trigger me.

I know I have issues, and I'm working on them with the Lord, but she keeps ignoring boundaries I have put up for my sanity. I don't get it. She's a faithful Christian and has been for years, and i cannot understand what is she thinking continuously crossing my boundaries.

Anyone know about this type of healing?

The matter of concern is more than a common feature of soteriological debate… and can be summarised as follows.

“That would make God unjust…” - is a typical concise example of how many theological discussions concerning a vast array of subject matter inevitably conclude…and upon that statement..that adjudgment…many weighty matters are determined...incorrectly in my estimation.

Those who make such statements, and they are many, find it so incredibly easy to arrive at that place…it seems as such a natural flow of deductive thought that it is inescapable and so rightly determinative in regards reaching a final and decisive conclusion.

Does it ever cross their minds, even for a brief moment, that in doing so, they have merely transposed themselves into the exact same position, theologically, and personally, of the man adjudged by God to be the most righteous man alive Job?

And what was the result for Job?

That will inevitably be the same result for you... head down with mind and body in subordinate acceptance...of what is inevitably, your unjust adjudgment of God.

The American two-party system is built around the old British principle of a party of the “court” that is in power and a party of the “country” representing those who wish to replace those currently in office, not to overthrow them. A loyal opposition, which wishes to extract concessions or shift the balance of power within the system, is tolerated. A revolutionary opposition, which threatens to shake up the entire system, is not tolerated. Candidates with the support of only a minority of the American elite such as Richard Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, or Ronald Reagan, are tolerated, though often undermined. Those who are viewed as a threat to the entire system – i.e., Donald Trump – are a different matter.

Since the founding of the United States, a loose alignment of professionals, businessman, politicians, and local elites who hold social power has proved remarkably effective at uniting to prevent candidates who do not accept the premises of the system, or, more often, do not understand them, from reaching the presidency. From Alexander Hamilton to Patrick Henry, Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, and Ross Perot, these candidates are isolated and painted as a danger.

Occasionally, however, they will win a major party nomination. That happened in 1896 when Williams Jennings Bryan captured the Democratic nomination and in 1964 when Barry Goldwater won the Republican nod. In both cases, the candidates found themselves crushed under the weight of a financial and social mobilization unprecedented for decades.

This was precisely what was supposed to happen in 2016 when Donald Trump won the Republican nomination. Had the 2016 election resulted in the expected victory for Hillary Clinton, voters would have been reminded that going against the preferences of college-educated professionals is fatal.

Democrats, too, would have been reminded that with the support of that constituency, a candidate as flawed as Hillary Clinton can become president. The Republican Party would have obediently nominated a moderate, pro-business, pro-establishment candidate in 2020, and by strategically swinging between the two parties, white college graduates would have maintained their control of both.

That is not what happened. Donald Trump won, and in doing so, he risked doing something more. If he showed that it was possible to win without the approval of elites, then it was possible politics would polarize along educational lines. If he succeeded in winning again after having done so, it would potentially break their power permanently.

What should I do in order to be set free from these deplorable conditions once and for all? I allegedly have schizophrenia (according to my doctor) and also a very irritating skin rash that is not being healed despite prayers. I think that the skin rash is a side effect from the disgusting antipsychotic medication that doctors gave me. I have no trust in doctors because they hurt me in the past, I was brutally assaulted for no reason by 5 psych nurses and they caused me extreme pain. I have tried every medication under the sun and I'm sick of this fruitless search for the "right medication". If God exists, why won't he heal me? My condition is untenable. I have heard an interior voice that I mistakenly believed to be the Holy Spirit, this voice told me to do things that make no sense, like walking outside in the nighttime in the freezing cold. I thought I received private revelation, however in retrospect, I have begun to question this narrative because the things that I experienced proved to be false. I think I have been deceived when I look at the events of my life in retrospect. I try to pray and to "have a relationship" with God, but it's like he is completely deaf to my prayers and he hasn't sent the Holy Spirit for me to set me free from this deplorable condition, which I suspect is spiritual in nature. I have gone to confession for all of my sins, yet I am not healed. I long to be set free and restored. When will God intervene in my miserable life? What the hell do you do in this abominable condition? I thought to myself that maybe the cause of my illness is spiritual in nature, in that case I need deliverance ministry and/or exorcism. Life was not supposed to be this way. My suffering is untenable, and I need advice on what to do.

Takes me back on God's Past faithfulness in my life working in my profession and today walking by faith not by sight trusting more fasting, praying, doing ministry in how Jesus Christ is the only God giving me liberty

I'm David and I am 61 years old. I have been a born-again Christian for 40 years. I am not of any particular denomination but if I had to choose one it would be the Baptist movement. I have attended a Methodist church for 8.5 years, a Pentecostal church for about 2 years, and a Baptist church for 5 years, and of these three I liked the latter one best. I read my Bible each day and I attend the Church of X, formerly Twitter, where I interact with a number of strong Christians who tweet various things.

I have spent the last 40 years writing and I am currently trying hard to get an agent. And I like to listen to Classic FM.

I am diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia but I have some medication that is very good for me and which I thank God for.

I have been single all of my life. Then I became aware of a condition called asexuality and I realised that it applied to me. And now I am celebate until the second coming of Christ. And it is bliss.

I was simply making the point that the buildings that are occupied as temples and centers of worship by all mayor religions today have not been built be the claimed builders. However now I am going to be so mean as to not even tell you where I got that info.
