You Are Inexcusable, O Man!

"You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things." (Romans 2:1 NLT)

It is easy to judge others, but oftentimes we found ourselves practicing those evils we condemn in others. God has not called us to be the judge over others. He only commanded us to correct in love. Correction in love does not involve condemnation. Pointing out people's error in love is aimed at setting them right with God. Condemnation is about proving ourselves right before men.
We must be careful so that the light in us is not actually darkness. Every dark spot in our lives must be exposed to the light of God's word.
We must also judge ourselves, we must do this in the light of God's word. By bringing ourselves side-by-side with God's word, every condemnable dark spot, irrespective of their size, is thereby exposed. The word of God exposes and cleanses our hearts and makes us heaven-bound.

ACTION PLAN: I must deliberately desist from judging others today, but instead expose myself to God's word. This will accelerate my growth.

PRAYER: Father, by your word and Spirit, expose every dark spot in my life today.
