We must allow the Lord to help us in achieving steadfast patience. This is a state of being unwavering in waiting on God for a thing. It is a state a total dependence and reliance on Him.
Patience and endurance help us to fully carry out the will of God. Without these qualities, the will of God will become stressful and uninteresting to us: We will only drag ourselves through it.
Everything He has promised will be accomplished by His mighty hands. We must be patient enough never to consider alternatives. Actually, looking for alternatives outside the will of God is a clear indication of impatience and lack of trust in Him. Alternatives and shortcuts to the will of God must be avoided at all cost. They will not allow us to end well, they will create a problem that may defy solution for many generations unborn. Every of our step have effect now and in the future. An hasty step taken toward solving a problem will definitely have its accompanying challenges.
ACTION PLAN: We must watch our steps daily and be sure they are not taken in haste.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from hasty attitude. Help me to be patience in waiting on You for your promises.
