God has not changed, as He was in the old testament so He is in the new. He is a perfect God that cannot be improved upon. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God and He will forever be God.
One of His eternal attributes is His love for us. God loves us greatly. The devil has been making several efforts, since the garden of Eden, to make us doubt His love for us.
He gave us His begotten Son because He loved us. His love for us is beyond what our human minds can comprehend.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NLT)
God's love for us should prompt us to repent from sins. When you exercise faith in Jesus, you have secured eternal life for yourself. Everyone will die, but he that believes in Jesus here on earth will have eternal life. He may sleep on this side of eternity but will definitely arise hereafter on the other side of eternity with God.
The day of judgement will be dreadful, you will eternally regret it if you face it without Jesus. The question is why must you come to God through Jesus alone?
"Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 NLT)
He is the only way to the Father. No one can come to the Father except through Him. You cannot get to God except through Jesus. Today is the day repentance, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.
