The Golden Skepter Of Mercy

"When he saw Queen Esther standing there in the inner court, he welcomed her and held out the gold scepter to her. So Esther approached and touched the end of the scepter." (Esther 5:2 NLT)

Queen Esther had just disobeyed the law of Medes and Persia. The penalty for such an offence was death. Something more important than life was at stake, the purpose of God. Esther risked her all to fulfill God's purpose. Preservation of the Jews was in God's agenda. What risk are we taking for God today? Our day to day life is predictable! Devoid of adventures for God, our lives have fallen into monotonous routines.
The men and women of old, who subdued kingdoms for God, were adventurous people. They were constantly risking their lives in order to bring glory to their God. They were dead to everything including death itself.
God is holding out the golden skepter towards us. The mankind has found favour in the sight of God. (John 3:16) His love made Him to send His only begotten Son to die on the Cross for us.
We must not receive His favour in vain. Our love for Him must move us to obey Him against all odds.

ACTION PLAN: Take a risk for God today, stand up and stand out for Him.

PRAYERS: 1. Oh Lord, help me to know your will and grant me strength to do it.
2. Show me a way to take a risk for you today.
