A message for those who may be offended by something I have said (either to you or to someone else): send me a private message and let me know.
I am not a mind reader and cannot determine who is and who isn't offended through a computer screen. But I'm also not a monster. If you come to me and are genuinely upset by something I said, it's very likely that I will be happy to oblige and either change the offending remark(s) or delete them.
Of course, this is within reason. If you supposedly get offended at every little thing I say, then I may simply ignore you. But if you send me a message and say, "Look, saying [something] in [thread] really was low. I wish you would rephrase that", then yes - I'll be happy to oblige!
Adult communication is preferable to me. I may not agree with you, but at least we can discuss it. One on one, you might be surprised to find that I'm a lot more reasonable than you might think. But you have to tell me these things so that they can be corrected, privately and easily.
