Christianity is full of tares, especially in the clergy. Nothing is free from the influence of the Adversary. Discernment is a must. Do they demand allegiance to God or instead to their church or denomination and to their authourity? The two are not the same. Do they claim to speak for God or do they show us how God speaks? The two are not the same. Do they demand we follow their doctrine or follow scripture instead? The two are not the same. Do they set themselves up as middlemen between you and God or do they act like tour guides showing you the way to Him. The two are not the same. Are they part of an institutional kingdom/government they built for themselves here in earth or do they point the way to God's Kingdom. The two are not the same. Grain focuses on the Kingdom/governance of God. Tares lead us back to the ways of the world man has made in our own image. Discernment is a must.
