Hebrews 5

High Priest Greater than Melchizedek
Jesus Christ grew up with suffering and obedience to perfect Him to become the source of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him. With these words, I am reminded by this: The last shall become first and the first shall become last.
Jesus Christ was born a lowly human as a servant, which the Jews completely glossed over those prophecies. They were expecting a King to rule and reign over the world on earth - which is His second coming.

This letter is explaining the lineage to the Jews how Jesus Christ came to be the High Priest, Lamb of God, Who is the only sufficient sacrifice for all. Though Jesus was born in the house of Judah and not a Levite (the house of Aaron), because of His faithfulness, obedience and suffering is He a perfect candidate. It is Father God who declared His Son as High Priest.

Teachings Hindered by Immaturity
The above teaching seems to be difficult to explain to them due to being slow of hearing. Perhaps some due to hardness of heart, confusion, or lack of understanding why they no longer need to make sacrifices, and what Jesus Christ said on the cross “It is finished.

Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life on earth and obeyed His Father every step of the way - even in the face of fear, that one fateful night in Gethsemane of what He would soon endure. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God and also the Lion of Judah, His blood alone is sufficient for all who believe in Him.
***

There is so much evidence in the Bible prophesying His character and His works from the Father, I can’t imagine how anyone could deny this Truth. Jesus Christ is not only our Saviour, but also our High Priest. Why on earth would we ever go back to Torah or the Law of Moses? We are supposed to move forward, not backwards. Beware of the Hebrew Roots Movement and be diligent on the Biblical teachings of Christ by the Holy Spirit. :yellowheart:
