The large corvid bird perched on the edge of the stump took a small yellow piece with a claw, and put it up to the side of the head. The object disappeared there, seemingly into an ear. Then the giant percher, as she called the bird when speaking to others about that, took another yellow bit and suddenly flew up, and to her shoulder. Hillariah was very surprised, but right away before she could think of how to react, that thing was put into her ear. It actually seemed to move itself well in. But then she felt it no further. And that great bird was on her shoulder. But then the bird flew up from her, and landed on a nearby branch to perch there.
