Discovering Your Potentials

Potential: existing in possibility : capable of development into actuality
(ibid.)
Our potential is hidden in the power of God that is at work in us. By ourselves we can do nothing, God is our sufficiency.
Why should I be the one to discover my potential? Why will God not just make my potential to begin to manifest on His own?
"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter." (Proverbs 25:2 NKJV). God delights in concealing matters, it will be your greatest privilege to search out everything God kept save for you in destiny.

1. A New Life: It is the Spirit that searches out the things of God. You must be born again before you can hope to hear God about His purpose for your life. (John 3:3,5)

2. A Sense of Purpose: Esther may have forgotten the purpose of God for making her queen. (Esther 4:14) Mordecai reminded her of God's intention before giving her the exalted place. There is/are problem(s) you were created to solve in life.

3. A Sanctified Soul: When you keep studying the word of God, you are retraining your mind to reason like God. (Romans 12:2)

4. A Burning Passion: It will be difficult for you to discover and harness your potential without a burning passion for God. A burning passion for God and His work is will point out your hidden potentials(Psalms 69:9)

4. A Compelling Vision: What do you see about your future? (Jeremiah 1: 11-12). Joseph had a compelling vision of his tomorrow. He later constraint himself to achieve it. It has been said that the future you don't picture, you cannot feature in it.

5. A Living Sacrifice: Offer your life as a living sacrifice unto God. This will be your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1-2) Godly service is not first and foremost about what you do, but about who you are.

7. A Contagious Companionship: a.) Ahab and Jezebel (1 Kings 21:25) b.) Simeon and Levi (Genesis 49:5-7) c.) Jonathan and David (1 Samuel 18:1,3) d.) The apostles (Acts 2:1)

Conclusion: The Lord is ready to guide and help you discover your potential. Cooperate with Him and everyone He has graciously positioned to be of help to you in life.
